I have now determined that the nasty battery drain (in my case) had nothing to do with charging, but with GCam and/or MicroG. When I used the GCam, the kernel goes crazy. From the moment GCam starts, the kernel keeps the device awake and I can watch the battery draining.

Even then, when I throw GCam completely out of the memory after using it (force to stop), there is no improvement. The problem only disappears after reboot.

I changed the thermal profile for the GCam (to "Camera"). Could that be the problem? I changed it back now to default. Let's see...

(Havoc 4.5 Vanilla, MicroG, GCam 8.1.101)

On my case (3rd day on the ROM), I found that the crazy drain (no deep sleep/doze) was caused by ambient display.
Not full Always ON, but ambient display when notifications are received. Disabled it, and the phone goes to sleep normally now.

I am also using Gcam 8.1, no issues at all.

Another bug found is that adaptive charging does not work, i.e won't stop charging in user defined percentage.

Early build stuff both, probably kernel related.

When I get a call, the earpiece doesn't work (it's completely muted). I can't hear the person I'm talking to. Only when I turn the loudspeaker on and off again does it work.

When I initiate the call, everything's fine...

Can someone confirm this behaviour?
i have updated the firmware to 12.5.1.0 EEA and right now i dont experience that problem anymore.
also the proximity sensor is improved but still not perfect.
i'm on the latest crDroid.

@IronGFL thanks for brining another rom to our device. thinking of flashing this over xiaomieu 21.6.9 as firmware (unless told not to...?)

Now i know it's not the done thing to ask for ETA, and technically i'm not... just that i want a clean install with latest version. just curious if i should flash this latest 23.05 build or wait. Basically if there's an update imminent over the next couple of days i'll hold off until then...!? Any news would be great, cheers

using havoc over 12.5.1 is the delay still there when activating screen in direct sunlight? (where there's a few second delay at times as the screen goes from dark to bright)

Dumb question: Is it possible to dirty flash the firmware?

@Robert314 @IronGFL
Another issue: DT2W is off, but after every reboot the phone awakes by double taps, although it's still "off" in settings. I've to switch it on and then off again. Strange...

Yes you can flash the firmware right from twrp over the ROM it shouldn't cause any issues.

Hello Guys, My phone it's fresh unlocked but, after put in Fastboot and start installing on windows it stuck on this :

C:\Users\Bubcomp\Desktop\Havoc-4.5-official-G-Apps-alioth>.\platform-tools-windows\fastboot flash boot_a Images/boot.img

You need to install fastbootd drivers for Windows.

Hey guys, 3 "Problems" after flashing the Havoc OS
  1. one of my apps detect that the Phone was unlocked or rooted and did not start. Is there a solution for that?
  2. i didn´t find the One Hand mode in the settings, not the Gboard, the system One Hand Mode. Is this a Miui feature?
  3. Failed to install update - Havoc-OS-v4.6-20210618-alioth-Official-GApps.zip - is there a way to fix that error?

I only know the solution to 1st one. You have to hide magisk to get banking apps working.

1. You've got to install magisk and use magisk hide to solve that problem
2. One hand mode is a MIUI feature it is not part of AOSP and not currently included in Havoc
3. The latest update features two methods of installation. The fastboot install (like the previous ROM install) and a TWRP install (has a payload.bin file in it)

This is one of the few custom roms that supported aliothIN out of the box with Official tag. It runs smoothly without any major hiccups with its Initial build. Kudos to the dev. hope to see more refinements made in the device side changes.
