Which version do you mean with "Witson's latest MCU"?

I'm asking because with MTCE_MX_V3.57 I had random reboots (not freezes) on my Android 9 MTCD PX5 Witson head unit (on which I'm using Hal9k Mod 4.2.0 which is based on Witson's Android 9.)

Reverting back to MTCE_MX_V3.45 fixed the reboots again.

So it might depend on the MCU version that you are using. You could try MTCE_MX_V3.60 that @kirkri posted in the post just above mine and preferably also try the latest Android 10 update that he posted. If this doesn't help and if you already have been using MTCE_MX_V3.60, you could try MTCE_MX_V3.45, which I attached to this post. But only try it if everything else fails, since V3.45 has been released along with Android 9 and the versions V3.5+ have been released along with Android 10.

I installed latest rom and mcu than i didnt encounter a single crash. Thanks!

settings px5

sorry but I'm new to the forum I hope I haven't got the wrong Thread

I have installed in my opel insignia this radio.
PX5 (1200x600)
android 10.0
MCU: MTCE_MX2_V3.13_1
CPU: Octa core Cortex [email protected] 1.5
RAM: 4GB
ROM: 64 GB
Versione Kernel 4.19.111+

three things I can't do:
1 insert the car logo when starting the device
2 insert the logos of the radio stations and change the backgrounds and colors of the radio
3 modify the home page (insert new widgets and change the size of existing ones)

can anything be done about it?
thank you so much

1; You can find this option in the factory settings (code is 126) But your MCU version (MX2) is not supports the car logo officially.

Update the MCU with this:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1G9y3c12_-z8hBX6s3gNoro0oyBFiwmoM/view

2; You can do it with NavRadio+ application from Google Play..
3; You can do it with Agama Can Launcher app from Google Play.

Hello,
I tried with the setting auto (126) but in "car logo" there is actually no logo.
do i have to update the MCU or even the Rom?
should I just insert the dmcu.img file or even the update.img file?
do i have to copy it to usb or sd?
I have already tried to load the dmcu.img file on usb but it does not update anything. I tried both with the dezzipped file and with the zip file but no update starts
thank you

Hello,

For car logo, only the MCU update needed.
It has to put the dmcu.img file into USB drive root directory. (The USB has to be Fat32 format).

You can update it in "MCU updates" settings menu. Once you enter into "MCU Updates" menu, the HU will detect the update file on the USB drive.

Does anyone know how enable Developer Options and USB debugging to backup app + data? Tapping 7 times on the build number in the Android settings doesn't work on my PX5 headunit with Android 10 provided in this thread

I'm sorry but I understand little of these things: do I have to download and install all the apps?
File Type: zip themes.zip - [Click for QR Code] (232.6 KB, 3168 views)
File Type: apk app-release-0.9.3.apk - [Click for QR Code] (1.27 MB, 1978 views)
File Type: apk app-release-0.9.5.apk - [Click for QR Code] (1.29 MB, 1632 views)
File Type: apk app-release-0.9.7.apk - [Click for QR Code] (1.31 MB, 622 views)
File Type: apk app-release-0.9.8.apk - [Click for QR Code] (1.31 MB, 4024 views)

so i have these Features:
- Display station icons on buttons
- Unlimited number of bouquets (station lists)
- Unlimited number of stations in one bouquet
- Mix FM and AM in one bouquet
- Fix encoding for radio text (middle european only by now)
-Themeable
grazie mille

I have tested the whole thing extensively and I must say I am thrilled.

The ROM runs more smoothly than Android 9 and the apps can be installed faster.

About the GPS: The GPS strange is super good as it was with Android 8.
With Android 9 that was a disappointment.

I have checked everything and we have not found a single fault.
Tomorrow I will try out my root tool and adapt it if necessary :)

There is also a new launcher that you can simply install over it if you like.
It has Day/Night support like the Witson/MX Launcher.

    Great work by Witson.
Also many thanks to @hal9k the ModInstallerPro / Recovery for testing!

In the attachment you can find some screenshots!

Thanks to @ Hal9k for Mod Installer Pro.
    My first impressions after installation.
    1- With Android 10, bluetooth MD725 does not work.(Bluetooth MD725 6.0 - 8.0 and 9.0 were also working)
2- The video quality is very good, but there is a problem with the videos in ts format tv recording. (There was an osilator disorder in videos in 9.0)
    3- Wireless is working.
4- The sound quality is better than 9.0.
5- GPS working perfectly, positioning well. Working with iGo and Google Maps
6- My device is connected to the car's amplifier (Alpine pdx v9) and provides excellent sound
7- Steering wheel buttons working perfectly.
    A few pictures.
