I had the issue where I prepared the microSD card, but the HD+ wouldn't boot into ClockWorkMod recovery from it.
I solved the problem by holding down the "volume up" key during the boot.
I suspect a lot of people may be running into the same problem, as there are a lot of complaints about the device not booting from the card. Maybe the "volume up" instruction could be added to the first post of the CM10 dev thread?
