I picked up an HD+ to setup for mom to use. Although I have plenty of experience with other devices, I am learning that HD+ is a bit unique in how it upgrades.

This leads to some questions. The HD+ currently has TWRP and CM12.1 installed.

1) To upgrade TWRP to a newer build (I found a 3.0.1.0 zip), is it as simple as flashing the zip?
2) To upgrade from CM12.1 to a new AOSP MM build, is it as simple as wipe, flashing the zip, and then GApps in TWRP?
3) Related to #2 above, I presume GApps is needed for AOSP builds? The standard GApps will work?
4) In terms of stability and reliability, how is AOSP compared to CM13?

Thanks.

Info I found on my questions, in case someone needs it:

1, 2, and 3, Yes, Yes, and Yes. A lot of info in this thread:

For Gapps, look at post #1063

For 4, both AOSP and CM13 seem to have issues, but I most seem to report that AOSP is a bit more snappy.
