So I am SIM and OEM unlocked but NOT rooted and I cant update from 19 to 25. Same error as above?
Did you follow the steps to replace the reserve.img after unlocking? So I am SIM and OEM unlocked but NOT rooted and I cant update from 19 to 25. Same error as above?
Doesn't matter if you're rooted or not. If you unlocked your bootloader, which it sounds like you did, it wiped out that reserve.img file...and without that file, the OTA will fail. After the img file has been restored, you should never need to do anything via command line/adb. You should be able to accept OTA directly from the phone. Use this method to restore the .img file and then try. Being rooted does not matter. So I am SIM and OEM unlocked but NOT rooted and I cant update from 19 to 25. Same error as above?
Actually not true. I had to uninstall magisk and only then could I take the update. I re rooted after I took the updateDoesn't matter if you're rooted or not. Don't know and won't know without a logcat during an update attempt. So I am SIM and OEM unlocked but NOT rooted and I cant update from 19 to 25. Same error as above?
I didn't say this was the exact issue or everything was true. I am just throwing ideas out there. I did NOT have to uninstall magisk and installed the OTA.Actually not true. I had to uninstall magisk and only then could I take the update. I re rooted after I took the update
Three things:so ive tried to do this i tried 16 and 19 and all it does is say error install ugh
Same thing I said to the other guy. You've provided the to and fromMy update wouldn't go through. I am on 10.0.16 but the update trying to install was 25. Do I have to do the 19 update first?
No. I updated directly from 16 to 25. I was rooted and unlocked. My update wouldn't go through. I am on 10.0.16 but the update trying to install was 25. Do I have to do the 19 update first?
Did you unroot?ok there something i don't understand, I am HD1925 rooted on currently I have 10.0.25.HD61CB, I did the "reserve.10.0.25.HD61CB.7z" successfully, right now I can't update "10.0.27.HD61CB". any possible solutions ?
oh, so the only option I have here is to unroot and update then root again for the newer versions ..Did you unroot?
