My head unit suddenly stopped working, I haven't flashed it or modified it in any way. It was working fine since 3 years now but suddenly after putting my car into reverse I noticed the reverse cam didn't come on and since then the unit wont function.
When my car is turned on, the unit's light come on and power button makes beep and so do some of the other buttons. The head unit keeps making noise that sounds like the dvd player's laser head is moving every now and then and it is kind of annoying. There is no reset button on this unit.
Make and model: Roadmaster AN-54 HYE, MTCB-RM1 V2.20 Dec 2014 and looks like this:
What I have tried so far: holding the power button, makes a different sounding beep and then the unit's lights go off but they come back on after some time together with the dvd player's laser head moving and making sound. Tried holding power + select, power + home etc but no luck. Unplugged the car battery overnight hoping it would fix as I had an issue in the past and it was solved like this but again no luck. Finally took apart the unit, unplugged the back wires and tried again but also no luck.
Hoping someone has a solution to hard reset it or something. Thanks.
