I used to hate in-ears because they just didn't felt comfy. But after using them for a while i just don't want to switch back to headphones anymore. They sound so much better.

Another vote for AKG.

I had the 480NC on ear for a few years till I left them on a plane this year. They were amazing.

I might try their new in-ear this time round. Its not released yet but the 391NC is what its called.
I compared to BOSE at the time of the first AKG purchase and it was a lot cheaper for what I thought was comparable audio quality. The noise cancellation thing worked really well too.

I love Sony MDR-XB700 headphones. They sound great, not to forget the extra bass

Have a pair of Sennheiser HD 201's, great headphones but very quiet
Avoid Beats like the plague, they're complete overpriced crap
Personally I'd reccomend JVC HAFX1X if you're on a budget for in-ear headphones
If you have a bit more cash, I'd say go with the magnificent Sennheiser CX300 II (I've had these beauties for 2 months, can't live without them, TOP BUY)
Over ear I say Sennheiser HD 203, decent cans for the price

Also to get the best sound quality I'd consider investing in PowerAmp, best music player available for Android, well worth the buy

yea, that's exactly what I wanted to say. DHD with poweramp and good headphones makes a quite good match. Make sure to get the latest version tho, the one with stereox and SRS/beats. I was struggeling to get what I want until I realized there was new version of PA out there, lol. Personally, I have a stereox slightly more than a half, beats on (not by dre from Sense, but in PA.. ), SRS off, + tones and opt EQ adjustments (it depends on HP's sound signature and personal preference) and I'am more than satisfied. Also, I believe, most Sense ROMS have better sound quality than AOKP/AOSP.

I use simple $15 JVC in-the-ear-earphones from Walmart. I've tested them as compared to urBeats and they sound just as good, maybe better.

The sound between headphones and in-ear earphones are simply DIFFERENT. One can't say better or worse except for their personal preference. It all depends on you.

The headphones will have much more air flow and good bass but they are bulky, heavy in short its not portable.

The in-ear earphones are portable and much better for sound isolation, precision (because you can listen at a much lower volume), efficiency (no amps are required), and the music plays "inside" your head.

My preference. I Love headphones when I am at home full experience and crispy sound

And yes sennheiser are best, good quality and much cheaper, I have owned many of them.
Dont go for 201
Just go for HD202 ll (Has good Bass.) you gonna love it.
