Anybody think Verizon will be kind enough to include a pair of Sammy headphones with our Note 3's? Unlike the empty spot in our Note 2 boxes, I would appreciate a new pair with the in line mic, like the other carriers get.

I know a lot of people have aftermarket ear buds etc. But personally I've been using the pair I got 2 years ago with the Galaxy Nexus. Honestly they've performed as well as any aftermarket headphones I've owned for listening to music. And they're especially convenient while driving (no blue tooth in my truck).

Anyway I was more than disappointed they weren't included with the Note 2. Looks like Sprint got them but ATT didn't. Anybody expecting them to be included? Or know yes or no if we'll get them?

According to the Q&A section on the Verizon page for the Note 3, it will:

http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/...-note-3-white?checkedId=oneOrTwoYearPrice7193

Click Q&A, search for "headphones" and you'll see a question about it. A Samsung rep replied saying:

Hi Joey. Thanks so much for reaching out. Yes, headphones will be included upon purchase of the Note 3.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We're here and happy to help.

Thank you,

Samsung Support

Here's hoping you're right. Kinda feel like we get ripped off when other carriers and other phones have them. Then VzW finds another way to shaft us, so they have a better chance at making a sale on beats...my opinion anyway.

I hope this Samsung rep knows what he/she's talking about, but under the Tab "In the Box" on this Verizon web page there are no headphones listed. I'll bet Verizon's not including them.:(

Why give them to all the employees ofcourse...

I kid, I kid

But really the S4 came with them I do not see why there would not by any with the Note 3 when all the other carriers have them.

I hear ya. But the Note 2 didn't have them and the other carriers did. Really bogus if you ask me. Especially considering they come from Samsung and note VzW.

I'm a professional musician and audio engineer. I didn't buy them to use as normal headphones. I bought them to use for performing. Side benefit of them is that they destroy any consumer grade headphones on the market.

I'm not an audio engineer or anything.

My friends brother owns Aurisonics and he got me a pair of the ASG-1s which sound awesome i usually rotate between those and Bose QC15s when i travel.

The headphones that come with phones and ipods sucks and sounds crappy once you hear a good set.

Any pair of customs with 2+ drivers will blow your mind. They offer full isolation because of the custom fit. I regularly use mine as earplugs when I go shooting, to loud events, or when I simply don't want to listen to someone. (the cord is detachable). Another musician friend has a pair of 1964ears triple driver model. They're a lot more affordable and he says they sound fantastic. Nothing on the market offers the clarity and dynamic range of my 18s due to the 6 drivers per ear, but the price is drastically higher. If you have a few hundred dollars to blow sometime and music is important to you, iI recommend trying out a triple driver custom. You won't be disappointed.

If you have a set of custom IEMs with a removable cable, UE makes a cable with an online microphone and volume control for iPhone. To use on anything non android, simply swap the left and right cables.

*edit* anyone with multi-driver headphones, check the impedance of the drivers together before using them with a headphone device at full gain. Most of them are wired to drop the impedance giving more wattage out of the amp. For anything with 2 or less drivers per channel, that won't be an issue, but anything 3+ drivers, it can easily burn the amp chip out on a phone. With mine, half volume is usually so loud that it causes tinnitus, so it's not an issue for me. (with great in-ear monitors comes great responsibility.) take care of your hearing, because once it's gone, you will not ever get it back.

amen to that. I have a pair of Sure ear buds and everyone thinks I was crazy for spending $300 on headphones...when you put them in and they tune out everything else, even with no music on, they are worth every dollar. I wear mine to shoot as well. Plus sound quality is way better. Glad to see someone else be jammin too. :good:

Oh recently i have been doing a lot of travel for work..I have a huge pet peeve listing to people talk about their daily bs on an airplane, being able to not hear any people is a HUGE benefit.

Shure E2/E3s aren't custom, however. There's still a monstrous difference between pro-grade universals and customs, but the shure E2s/E3s are a good example of pro-grade multi-driver IEMs.

This is true they are not custom fit but they do a great job of noise cancellation at a fraction of the ones you posted. I just don't like big bulky headphones. Shures are not top of the line but they sure do beat the $1 headphones I see all the ifone idiots walking around wearing thinking they sound great because apple makes em. I have the bose noise canceling one but find myself only wearing around the house size they are PITA to take with you
