Some phones are great to take camping because if you play Asphalt 8 long enough, the back warms up to the ideal temperature that can bake bread. Rate this thread to express the extent to which the Huawei Nexus 6P stays cool under extended heavy use. A higher rating indicates that even when playing strenuous games for long periods of time, the phone doesn't get uncomfortably warm.

Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

I think the large size of the 6P helps to dissipate heat. Seldom does the phone warm up except when doing a lot of video, and even then it's warm, not hot.

I don't have any real world temperature readings but it seems to get uncomfortably warm to hold against your ear when you are on a call for a long time. Plus playing games or watching videos ramps up the temperature quickly.

In normal usage the heat is low and the phone flies but even only somewhat intensive games definitely heat up the phone faster and the framerate suffers.

Phone does warm up on not so intensive tasks. A bright screen would do this. It's definitely not what I'd describe as 'hot' ala my Z3. However... I believe the phone throttles the performance quite a lot when it gets warm.

interesting how people have diferent opinions.

this phone gets HOT, not if its sitting on the table and if ur facebooking, but use the camera for 10-15min straight, or navigation in a car, or skype, it gets hot that I cant put it on my face afterwards.
But same **** happens with Note5 as well, they are just very powerfull devices.

But saying it doesnt get hot is a straight forward LIE.

The nexus 6p has surprised me. My initial thoughts when i first setup my device was this device gets hot. It's almost been almost a month and I've got to say this device is just like any other device. I still believe the nexus 6p does a better job of heat dissipation than other smartphones
