Some phones are great to take camping because if you play Asphalt 8 long enough, the back warms up to the ideal temperature that can bake bread. Rate this thread to express the extent to which the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro stays cool under extended heavy use. A higher rating indicates that even when playing strenuous games for long periods of time, the phone doesn't get uncomfortably warm.

Played PUBG for two hours straight. It felt a little warm on the area near camera but otherwise phone was comfortable to hold. Remind you that the ambient room temperature was around 30-32 C.

I play pubg everyday. I haven't felt any heating issue from day 1. Great piece of hardware

It heat not so much but it heats !
While playing pubg on hd graphics it feels like the back is getting hot and realise that my hands were sweating with that heat so you can judge as it's summer time !

I just play Pubg in the lowest graphics settings. I just prefer performance over quality all the time. You should all try that out. It's as smooth as butter

Someone took out the phone in heat and tried capturing a lot of 48MP photos. He claimed the phone heated up.

My verdict is, any phone would heat up taken out in direct sunlight and camera sensor working all the time.

What do you say?

Yeah you are right but if the phone is capable of playing high graphics game then it should not heat up ao high.
I agree that clicking pictures in sun is commaly heating the phone which is okay.

Heat warning message popped up.

Charging arrives at 38°C.

It heats on heavy usage a little more compared to other phone

33 degress is not hot w.r.t device. This device is very very poorly managed under heat.
Check Antutu Stress Test. The last two images are the second consecutive test.

I was on 10.....?.13 MIUI, then flashed official Lineage OS 16 8th August build.

P.S: There was a time when Xiaomi used to be the king of budget. Now Asus, Realme and even Vivo are offering better value for money. I just couldn't get those devices because of Non-Existent XDA forums. I can't live without Lineage.

UPDATE: The app I used for testing just shows 20% whenever I get out of the app, ignore the previous values.

Terrible device for playing games. Devices throttles to only 20% while playing PUBG for only 5 minutes.

I don't play games, don't know about its performance.

For now, didn't used on some circumstances, so no more temp notifications.

Actually India is hotter than Spain, so despite 5he Rom don't understand the heat problem.

Under MIUI, seems that some CPU checks are unavailable.

So can't check some of them.

Heats but upto a moderate and reasonable amount while using indoors. Can get heated up in sunlight though,
