I've been making it to the end of the day with apt 20% battery left, and I'm quite the heavy use throughout the work day. So, about 11 to 12 hours.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong then xD I can get about 5-6 hours of SOT over 24 hours. No compromises except for a darker theme. That's it! I leave everything on as I want. Maybe I'll disable some stuff in the future.

It has been 2nd day of edge. No whatsapp, no hike or no Messengers except hangouts. Mixed use with WiFi and 3g. Push email configured for Gmail. 3 other email accounts configured with 30-60 minutes email check. Obviously I will get at least 45 minutes of more screen on time. Mostly using apps like mx player FB twitter twitch YouTube etc

That is a great result! I can't stand the 2600 Amh juicy of S6 anymore.
Anyone test the lasting hours with heavy use of Gear VR?
Dont expect miracles. Vr is very intensive i think maybe 2 hours. Maybe less.

Well I haven't used the Gear VR with the s7 yet.
But I do play vainglory a lot, with the s6 edge, it was absolutely killing my battery. With reduced brightness maximum I was able to get was like 2,5h DOT playing it.
I didn't drain the s7 edge with the game yet, but the drain while playing vainglory is a lot smaller.
Almost 2 hours vainglory, plus an additional hour of screen on time due to browsing and stuff and I'm still at 55 percent battery.
So to me, the s7 seems to handle the battery drain under heavy usage a lot better.

Heavy use you considerate..... most of the day runing on 4g emails, fb, whatsapp, clas of clans, some times spotify with bluetooth... and when im out of house i switch off wifi gps just turned on when its required and i got 4 hours of sot with 4% left... its enough for a full dsy but I'm still impressed how some guys reach that 7-9 sot and 2 days with out charging

im getting 10-12 hours with heavy use. hangouts video calling and whatsapp chatting.

i'm reading those comments and thinking to myself "BS". i have a buddy here at work that has the same though. he plays boom beach and browses the web all day at work and he says his phone lasts 1.5-2 days.
Sounds good... does hes running on original rom or custom? i already set some apps combo to put deep sleep the phone and now its working much better! i got 2 hours of SOT and 75% battery left....
he's using the original rom and he doesn't know anything about phones actually. what that means though is that a lot of the apps he has on his phone aren't actually getting used, so they've never actually been started for the first time.
How do you people manage that? I get like 2 hours SOT Tops.... I have snapchat but literally never use it, and Facebook and Messenger too.... music streaming now and then but I am not an intensive user of anything
factory reset ur phone and only install app that u need i get about 10 hts of screen on time
