Returned to stock yesterday and had a question.

I don't remember my colors being this way;

I was originally on uckh6 before I gained root access and started flashing custom ROMs.

Everything else is working great, this seems to be my only issue..

What is the correct method for entering download mode after performing this procedure? I have tried holding volume +/- and power and it just brings me to the 3e recover screen. Also if I try holding volume +/- and then plugging it into the computer it just brings up the power symbol. I tried installed ICS through kies but it tells me the device is not supported. Any help?

Tell me EXACTLY what you did - You almost surely didn't follow THIS procedure since all the evidence points to you having flashed an alternative bootloader. E.g. you didn't follow ANY procedure in the I777 forums as the behavior you are describing sounds like what happens if you have an I9100 bootloader.

@Entropy,

Appearantly, he's still trying to recover from this problem, and flashed this package.

I havn't seen how people are able to recover from flashing CWM, and would like to know if this causes permanent damage to the phone, or how to correct the problems it causes.

Thanks for responding.

I have now used the One-Click tool twice and whenever my phone boots i am having Google Framework and Google Services FC and everything freezes when i click on the little android man for setup
The one-click downloader is a repackaging of Entropy512's stock plus root. I assume you are using the UCKH7 one-click? You must do a wipe data/factory reset in 3e recovery and then you should be fine.

I have a question I was helping my friend use the method in the OP to root his stock UCKK6 phone but when we ran Odin 1.7 I figured he should use the 512 PIT file it came with and that auto checked the re-partition box anyway he was stuck at

<ID:0/003> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!

for over 10 mins so we unplugged battery to try again and nothing is coming on
we are going to try USB JIG

...but if and when we can get back to download mode what should we be checking off and should we even use a PIT file

I realize this may not be the thread for this but it happened while following the OP

I have prepared Odin3 One-click Downloaders for the Stock non-rooted and Stock + Root packages. Each One-click Downloader also contains the Modem. This will make flashing back to stock or flashing root in Windows easier. These were tested and flashed successfully on my device. These could be posted in the OP for convenience.

How to Use:
  • Download the 7 zip package. Extract the contents of the zip file to a directory on your hard disk drive.
  • Start the Odin3 One-Click Downloader program by double clicking on "I777UCKH7 OCD No BL.exe" or "I777UCKH7 OCD Root No BL.exe".
  • Now Enter Download Mode:
    • With the phone powered off, plug in the usb cable while holding the vol up + vol down buttons (but not the power button).
    • When the warning screen appears, press Volume up to continue into download mode.
  • In Odin, the small edit box in the upper left corner will turn yellow, and say something like [0:COM8]. The number could be different.
  • Click Start. Watch the progress bar advance in green while the message box in the lower area describes the steps. When the flash is finished, the top left larger edit box will turn green and say PASS! and your phone will automatically reboot.
  • Unplug the usb cable from you phone after it boots up. Success.
Hi,
I am getting the Force Close errors on the first screen itself once the phone reboots and not able to go to set up wizard.
"The application Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again later."

I got the PASS message on the Odin. Can somebody please help on how to go through the set up process.

Thanks

Nevermind, found the solution. thanks!
