Help! Bootloop without doing anything

I have a honor 3c and I've never messed with the phone. Didn't unlock bootloader,no root, no custom recovery. I'm getting boot loops and have tried removing SD card and factory reset, no luck. Fastboot works, of course. Could this be a hardware problem? Is it worth it to try and install a custom recovery with a different rom.

Just re-flash stock firmware and see if it works
