Help bringing LG V10's camera to the G4

Well, what exactly did you expect? You simply copy over those files, set permissions to 6-4-4 and voila -
you have a V10 camera app with 100% funcionality?? I think not... NHF man, but there is a process called
porting and if it were so simple everyone would be an expert... It's not as easy as you think it is...
There is a critical difference between V10 and G4 (despite both having identical soc's and back cameras),
and that is the fact that the V10 has 3 cameras. Just take a quick look at media_profiles.xml from V10,
compare it to the one from G4, you'll know what i'm talking about... So, we need to wait for someone
who knows what he's doing to properly port the camera app from V10 to G4. Or if you can be a bit more
patient, simply wait for MM, i'm sure we'll get most of the functions from V10 (like manual video controls)...

Feel free to move forward with porting. Of course most of us knew that it was not just done by simply copying, but still, it was worth a try and I am thankful they did. There was a minimal chance that LG already prepared the app to be used on different devices... Having 3 or two cameras.

I never said i have the knowledge or the expertise to do the port, read my post again if you don't inderstand it...
No need to be rude, i just wanted for some people to grasp the fact that this is not a walk in the park, that's all...

I don't see how he was being rude at all.. You just come in here acting like we're idiots and you're the all knowing, I've been around the block a few times. The first and easiest step to trying this is to see if they work without modding, that's all we did.. I honestly don't care because I'll be getting the V10. Just thought I'd test it since no one else had yet..
