What's with the guy that brought up these screenshots? Were they fake or did he discontinue his work?
It was fake. That guy was full of bull**** and he wasted everyone's time with his attention-seeking nonsense which had all these people getting excited over nothing. :( As others have said, the best solution at the moment is Cinema 4K. That supports almost everything which the V10 app does, including custom bitrates and manual focusing.

For those who said it was fake, that I was spamming... If I dropped the development of the camera it's because I had a little hope in LG launching MM for the v10 and start working again from there because it would be absurd to work on Lollipop when MM is available on the G4... It's like working on KitKat when I have Lollipop on my device... If you want to keep thinking this is fake or that I'm spamming keep thinking it, this isn't what I do for living anyways, it's simply a hobby ;) What I learned porting things is that it has to be at least stable, because if you launch it on beta the same people who asked you to "please upload it" later on they comment negatively on the post. That's what I learned with the G4 full port that we did with CheloZ for the G2... I was receiving tons of PM's asking me to launch the ROM in a beta stage everyday. Once I did it, everyone was criticizing the FC's, reason why we didn't want to launch the ROM yet, and the only thing they achieve is to discourage the continuity of the project. If we didn't launch the camera it was for the same reason, because it was still on development, and because it has no sense to work on Lollipop when we have Marshmallow, so I wanted to wait for LG to launch MM for the v10, and if LG didn't do that sooner or later the G5 kdz would be available and I could work on it. But finally, MM is available for the v10 so I got my hands on it yesterday.
I don't really care if you believe or not, the only thing that upsets me is that you say it's fake, or that I was spamming. I hope the people who criticized me are not so cynical to use the camera once it's out.
Cheers.

People who have been on XDA long enough would understand that things don't happen overnight and that everyone who develops here do it just as a hobby.
People who believe that V10 camera can be ported are sitting and waiting quietly with the hope that another developer doesn't run away as the development on LG G4 is already very scarce as many left because of abusive comments and people demanding something from them without understanding that this is not their full time job.
xach24 if we see LG v10 camera running on LG G4 one day we'll be very happy, luckily in the meantime we have couple of alternatives available when we need those manual controls in video. Enjoy the porting when you have time :)

Why not post the work you've done so far, so that others can take over your work? I think the community understands that real life and paid work comes first, but if you've already performed most of the really difficult work of porting the camera, at least share what progress you've made so it doesn't go to waste.

Plus, if you post your work, it'll prove to everyone else you weren't just lying! :good:

Not sure if I understand correctly. But us verizon users that don't have unlocked bootloaders and can only root on LP would love it instead of it only going to MM users. I can't root on MM since I'm verizon.

Hummmm...
If the user for some reason posted is work he probably won't need no one to prove it wasn't lying.
He doesn't need to prove anything to you or anyone.

You guys have three options:

1) Port the camera yourself.

2) Wait until someone ports the camera

3) Buy an LG V10

Whatever options you guys choose, quietly is the best way to go about it...

Can you even read, or you just understand what you want?
Regarding my answer, my point was that the user (dev) doesn't need to prove nothing and doesn't need no one to prove it.
So, please try to understand people's posts before Judging.
Thanks

I didn't want him to prove anything to me- he was getting flack from others, and there's a lot of talented developers on the G4 forum, so I was just suggesting an idea that might benefit everyone. I won't even be using the V10 camera, presumably, since I'm currently running OctOS.

Also, @xach24 : I really wasn't trying to sass you in my previous post. I honestly just wanted the best solution for the most people. I apologize if that's how it came across! :(

Guys these days I was very busy, and in my spare time I was fixing the camera, And what I see are a number of things.
First: it was very easy to port it, and I entered the doubts because it was so easy to port it, that lollipop cost me much more but much more...
Second: the camera takes several fcs below I listed the fcs
- camera front
-zoom (in single-mode, basics, camera manual, and manual mode video)
-snap video
-Panorama
- cinema mode (not filmed) -this is a mode of the camera manual video-
Third: go to manual mode video with all manual settings except for the exposure of the microphone(I think this is because we have a microphone less than the v10. I am not very sure of this)
Fourth: the ways of filming that operate in the mode "basic" :
-Slow-motion
-time elapsed
-the triple-chamber (where the model takes two photos, one closer than the other. This will go perfectly:D)
For now I'm left with 2 options.
Option 1: Keep trying to solve those errors, since that is half-unusable as to have it of camera main.
Option 2: try to get two cameras to work on the cell phone. Bone have the camera of the v10 and the of our G4, in the of the v10 would remove all modes that give fc and I would leave only those who walk in "manual mode" video, the modes of filming of "way basics," and the camera manual. Would be removed as I said the modes that give fc's and the camera's front.

It is noteworthy that these two options are very, very, very difficult. Take time that is for sure over, and this fall the system of the G5 and what I see more feasible the port of that camera than the v10 in marshmallow... That rage gives me :(

The truth gives me rabies that does not ande the camera correctly, try all ways to make work all the modes of the camera. And I was not possible. In lollipop there is no fcs, works in all modes but not the camera manual video, marshmallow way it is in the manual mode of video but there are many fcs. The truth that I do not understand where is the problem.
It is as if LG did that on purpose "I give the camera to manual, but the other modes the camera will leave it unusable" xd

*sorry for my bad english*

Can you provide us a video from your phone? We're at least curious to see this progress! unless we can test them with the hand at the time :) Thanks for your work :)

I tried it on ll and it appears to be the same functionality as the regular app. Cinema 4k provides a fair amount of manual controls in video mode. You can set exposure and such before filming. Is that what the v10 cam does?
