Hello all xda members!
Well about 2 weeks ago I tripped over my charger and my Xoom fell off my desk....right on the wimpy pin that charges the Xoom. It didn't break but it bent pretty bad and would only charge if I put pressure on it; because it had a small crack in the shell of the pin. Well....today I put some solder around the shell and it worked pretty well....until it got a couple wiggles and didn't charge again....so,more solder, and some more.....and more until I noticed the plastic on the pin melted....whoops hahah. So I cut the end off the cord because I was pissed. Now I have a charger with + and - coming out....I tried to find a pin charger the same size laying around...but no luck.
So I was thinking since my charger is screwed can I make my own dock charger using the two gold contacts at the bottom?
Here's a picture of my idead
