I can't stress to you enough that Enable Oem need's to be on the "on position" so switch it on (allow the device to be oem unlocked)and leave it alone it's nothing to do with you not being able to get to fastboot. If you trip the frp on your phone you will not be pleased.
with that said with your phone switched on and USB DEBUGGING SWITCHED ON plug into your usb on computer open a command window and input the following command- adb reboot bootloader you will now see your blue light on the phone this means your sony is now ready for you to flash a custom recovery (assuming you have unlocked your bootloader ?)

sorry to take time to respond
I did what you said and followed the steps of the tutorial, but I found two problems, the mobile does not have root access and when I tried to install magisk I found the following error:
! Unable to unpack boot image
Failed!
! Installation failed

Can you tell me few thing's about what you have done already so i know where to begin.
Is your sony an E2603 or a E2606 ?
Have you unlocked the bootloader ?
Have you flashed a twrp recovery ?
If you have not flashed recovery do you have the twrp.img and not sure what to do
Have you got fastboot and adb on your computer ?
Are your s1 driver's correctly installed ?(If not use this program HERE and it will install them for you ,you can use it for any type of mobile, maybe tablet's as well)
Have you got a super su boot.img or other thing's needed for rooting ?

Green light on means that your sony is in fastboot however unless a programme holds it open (like when flashtool asks you to put your phone into flash mode) Otherwise your phone will reset its self after around 20 secs returns to the logo.
If you have any problems beyond that please give more info.

Blue light=flash recovery mode
Green light=fastboot flash mode
What version of flashtool by @Androxyde you are using pls? if you are useing sp flashtool change to FlashTool by @Androxyde and use a version of 09.23.1 or above (pref above ,for use of the fsc script)
Make sure your have usb debugging switched on try again
If no luck try downloading the ftf file again, then try again.
let me know how you get on or if you need different answer from the one given.

Good Luck...

I fought for hours, too and finally tried a different USB port. Now it works flawlessly every time, also with
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
I hope this helps someone out there.

It's not working for me (maybe other people have this problem) the flashboot & ADB are dead or the USB in your phone are dead

soz for late reply ....... You need a prografrom such as flashtool to hold fastboot open ie. ypu have to wait until flashtool tells you to connect your phone in fastboot mode ,only after you have all your firmware ect loaded and ready to download on to your phone flashtool will tell you to connect in fastboot and not before .
To re-cap your phone will revert back to a standard boot seqence unless it is receving a download.

If you are doing everything correctly and still have this problem then the next loical stepis to change cables and check drivers.

Hi, I have a E2306, which I was trying to unlock bootloader, to flash a new Firmware.

This IMEI is listed on Sony page, able to unlock, I have the code generated by the site.

I tried the Flashtool BLU option, (previously creating the folder on the Flashtool with my device number and I think I bricked the phone. Now pressing Power Button only show a battery in red, and red light.

Update, now I have nothing, no power, no light, I connect the phone to a powerbank and the light of the power bank turn on, and some second later turn off. I think that the phone is completely gone. Any help?

Update 2: Took out the back panel. Disconnected the battery. Reconnected and now I have red light when connecting to charger, and same red battery logo (I mean a white battery image, with red almost empty "charge", before the brick was 100%). But At least i have red light and something on the screen. I will leave the phone charging overnight also to wait for the response.

any help, would be helpfull

My old M4 Aqua is a e2306 and was bricked for some reason dont even remember, however i remember the phone can vibrate as you described but in my phone is r r r r etc doesnt do in a row
however i counted 14 rs in you, so i tried waiting 14 in my phone and IT WORKED or perhaps i waited 15 but definately was around 14-16 Rs in a row and flashtool was able to communicate with the phone once again

i post this just in case somebody has an e2306 or has similar Rs, so my thought this is what sony people do for fix the phones, apparently those R with that combo of keys pressed activate something internally so the phone can communicate no matter what, makes sense i guess

thanks for your post
