Tried a new ROM today without first downloading some prerequisites.

Phone boots into recovery with error "Cant Mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1"

Apply SD card:update zip fails
Factory reset fails

To make matters worse, computer stopped recognizing device with error "USB device not recognized"

All of the proper drivers are installed. Any ideas or should I consider it bricked?

Did you have voodoo installed before it started having that issue?

Yeah it has a Voodoo 1200 LV kernel. No offense taken. I have used Odin before, and there's not little notification telling me it recognizes the device.

So you are saying you get to download mode with yellow triangle on the screen, but odin on your pc doesn't see and sync up? Do you have a i9000 or a i500 fascinate?

Was it a froyo rom? If so your over clocked kernel may have screwed you

Yep, it was a froyo rom..and I don't have the red cwm
Ouch. I remember people saying that the devs can not yet over clock without the froyo source code. This may be your issue. I would find my way onto irc for a real time chat with the devs.. Or maybe get a warranty replacement.

Do a search for USB JIG. Theres even some videos out there. That may be your only way to get back into download mode.

You should have disabled voodoo5, reboot, flash modem, flashed rom and compatible kernel.

I agree that using the usb jig with the appropriate resistor would be a good way to force your phone into download mode. Seems like it has helped a few people already.

I was wondering if you have tried a different usb port yet, since this seems to have helped quite a few broken phones as well. Seems like an idiotic question, so I apologize if this was the first thing you tried. But it's worth a shot.
