Then I must conclude that the EMUI native stuff doesn't detect newer firmwares, at least for now. It shows mine having 102 and doesn't report any update. Looking forward to the translated apk

I can assure you all that translation are very close to be finished.
My Freebuds 2 pro are at the customs now and once they release them I get them delivered. It still say Thursday.

Once I checked all menus I will make a new thread for updates and translations into multiple languages.

So far the app only supports English and Chinese. I will make a German translation and people can do other languages themselves and I will add them.

The language will change depending what your system default is.

EDIT: the battery indicator might be a EMUI build in thing. Not sure but some of the translation mention EMUI 9.0 exclusive features.

In the meantime I succeeded in updating the firmware to 121 with the chinese app. Not exactly bugfree, I had to try several times before being able to get that stupid progress indicator get past 49% without disconnecting my phones, but at the 6th attempt it went past and completed it, without me having changed anything in the procedure compared to the first 5 ones, go figure...

Volume control Freebuds

Hello friends,

Can anyone confirm me if the Freebuds 2 / Freebuds 2 Pro have volume control through the headset's touch?
Can you also confirm that battery life is unloaded in the box?

No volume control on the headset, gestures just allow you to pause/restart music and to start Assistant. No ability to skip tracks, no ability to control volume, you have to do that on your device.
Not sure I got what you mean in the second question: do you want to know if they were already charged when shipped? Mines had 3 out of 4 indicators active, that means they were partially charged.

In the second question I wanted to say that I would like to know how much battery life they have listening to music with just one load. I read that only 2.5 hours and this for me would be insufficient.

My Freebuds 2 will arrive any moment and I will report back on how it works, if it works and if not, how I can make it work.

I will provide and modded and Non-modded version since the Eula clearly says that modifications and on the software can result in a lose of warranty.

Good to know, the EMUI native options don't offer such options. I just hope those voice commands are going to depend from the phone and won't be something coded into the phones themselves (that would mean chinese-only support!). Eagerly awaiting for the translated app.

Same goes to the Voice assistant, if they are local I am very confident that it can be modified to work with Google, Alexa and so on.

It's now in Chinese, English and German. Russian will follow soon. If anyone wants to do Spain, french, etc then let me know.

The app is standard in English and if your phone settings are German it will change automatically.

Well if these are the data of the battery with a charge is really disappointing for me.
I have been using Airpods with a battery life of around 5 hours, unfortunately I lost them recently and I do not want to spend that money again.

Which prompt? I removed the chinese app, but the only prompt it gave me as I tried to use it was the firmware update one (I had 102, it suggested me to install the latest 121). Didn't get anything particular showing up when opening the box.

You can use voice commands in english if you toggle an option in the app. The commands that work for me are: Volume up, volume down, play next song, play previous song, pause, stop, play music (much like google assistant). I have the freebuds 2 pro (the black ones)

I want to know if there is a way to play the next song by touch controls. Does anyone know?
