same problem

Alright so I recently got the lg k7 from metro pcs and decided to root it. I rooted it using kingroot and then used supersu me so that I could install supersu instead of the one used for kingroot. It worked and then asked me to reboot my phone but when it started up again, it just stayed frozen on the metro pcs logo! I removed the battery and went into recovery mode, (by clicking the down volume+power button) but when it starts up again, it still stays stuck on the metro logo. Im assuming it is stuck on a bootloop? I also believe it is soft brick because i can still access the download mode, although it did take a while as i had to find the dang drivers b/c my computer would not recognize it.
I tried using the LG Mobile Support Tool to try to unbrick it, but it says that it already has the latest firmware installed! I cant do an update recovery either!

Sadly the 7 day exchange and return has ended and I cannot replace it, so is there any other way that anyone knows to unbrick the phone?
Thanks
im having the same problem same phone, modle, carrier, and same root apk. ive expiranced the same every thing.... how did you finly get it to the download menu

I've made the mistake of trying to root an LG K5 (lgx220m) with KingRoot and then SuperSu it. The problem, as I see it, is that there seems to be almost no information at all on the internet about this phone =/
I've tried restoring the Factory settings with Recovery, and to restore the phone from LG Bridge. None of them worked. It's always the LG logo jammed forever.

I won't ask for it here but: can anyone tell me which places should I stay aware off in case the firmware is ever released?
I guess there are the same directions one should look for the K7 firmware.

Thanks in advance.

LG bridge. Or if LG ever updates the software on the phone. Which usually means there's a KDZ.

LG bridge. Or if LG ever updates the software on the phone. Rust usually means there's a KDZ.

Sorry, I've not specified, but LG Bridge won't recognize the phone. I can use hardware keys to enter Factory mode or a menu which will let me choose between Recovery mode, Fastboot mode and Normal boot. None of these make the phone recognizable to LG Bridge. I hoped to find a Download mode combination, but I haven't.

By the way, what do you mean with "Rust usually means there's a KDZ"?

Oh sorry, that was a typo. I meant WHICH, not Rust. Are you sure there's no download mode combo? Have you tried holding volume up while the phone is off then plugging in the phone to your computer?

Well damn. That's a lot of edits for nothing useful :) jk what happened? Did anyone ever get an answer on this mysterious app/program? Is the guy full of ****? Do we just need to flash the system image file in download mode and be done with it? Is my phone a worthless paperweight now? Kek

If you have the .dll files ****ing share them Jesus Christ

Exodus 20:7 King James Version (KJV)

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

That being said Praise Kek blah blah blah I need the files my guy

Preferably a singular and easy method using download mode would be great. Stuck at the MetroPCS loop; after rooting and trying to inject supersu using the wolfdroid method (I hear this is common).

MS330 UNBRICK FILES

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6xMD81cEq7gSDVyUjktNHdERkU/view?usp=drivesdk

Use these two files to root your MS330:

Download KingOroot v3.1

https://mega.nz/#!kcglHYrT!U37YeNiTp2po55AZ9_R89JjPg8AURmLx_WLS07NPE_g

Download Super-SUme v6.7

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6xMD81cEq7gWHBfT2hxUDRqdk0/view?usp=drivesdk

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Make sure OEM unlock enabled in developer options

2. Install KingOroot v3.1 and click one click root and wait until it says root succeeded.

3. Install Super-SUme v6.7 and click blue button and wait until it gets stuck at "stage 6 cleaning" and lastly...

4. Go to Play Store and install latest SuperSU, run it and tap New User.

If SuperSU at any point says binary needs to be updated, choose ok and click NORMAL method and reboot.

I didn't use a DLL file, my program doesn't need it, you can try LGUP

You may have given us a solution to unbricking the k7! but just as the rest I am having trouble without the DLL file. Can you pm the program that you used to flash your phone? Thanks.

If someone with at working k7 could run the commands on post 19 we would know for sure.
Intuition tells me /dev/block/mmcblk0, but I'm not sure. step 2 for boost mobile says:

If anyone has had success with the pair of LG_Root techniques on post 25, please say so.
Mine won't get past step one and I am considering open a new thread to address my personal circumstance.

I was able to pull the information from my wife's k7. I was able to get to step 11 but even with knowing the dev block it still fails at that step.

I have been going nuts trying to figure this one out. Could you please PM me with the name of the program that will flash my K7. Thank you so much.

I am checking XDA every hour for update. That's how desperate I am right now after bricking 2 device :(
