i3abaji,

What Android version were you on when you tried to ODIN flash the VRALJB firmware?

Droidstyle has put together a really helpful guide to help restore our phones. Check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34891181

Go down to "Section 1b: How to return to stock 4.X Jelly Bean coming from any rom with Odin." You'll see where Droidstyle says ... "This file [VRALJB] can only be used on devices that never took the VRALL4 or VRAMC3 OTA update. If this file is flashed on a updated device, Odin will fail @ sboot.bin."

If you were on 4.1.2 VRAMC3 before you flashed this, then you should be able to ODIN flash 4.1.2 back to your phone. Version 4.1.2 was the last build where you can unlock your bootloader for this phone. Once restored to 4.1.2 - you should be able to use the CASUAL program from Adam Outler to root/unlock bootloader. If you were on 4.3, then you should be able to Odin restore back to 4.3 and you then use saferoot to get root, but no bootloader unlock. If you were on 4.4.2, you can try to restore it back to that build and there's currently no root method or bootloader unlock for 4.4.2. You should be able to restore back to 4.4.2 with this info from Sammobile- http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=30950.

If you read and follow Droidstyle's guide carefully, I'm hoping it will help you restore your device. (As a general disclaimer- I am in no way liable for how you choose to use this information or if something bad happens to your device/computer).

Good luck.

PS: Remember to hit the thanks button for Droidstyle for his helpful guide. :)

Hi i3abaji,

From everything I have read, (with the Verizon Note 2), you cannot use ODIN to successfully downgrade to an earlier stock build version once you are on totally stock 4.4.2 Kit Kit.

If you still have a fully functioning Note 2 that is running stock 4.4.2 Kit Kat firmware, then you are basically stuck with that for now because there's no current "do it yourself" method for you to root or unlock your bootloader. (There are companies that use special equipment and charge a fee to downgrade phones back to 4.1.2, but I haven't done research to see if they can downgrade once you're on Kit Kat. Mobiletechvideos is one company that has been discussed a lot in the Note 2 threads, so you might research this option more if this interests you).

If your phone is not working after you tried to Odin flash the old 4.1.1 VRALJB firmware, then the best you can hope for right now is to try to restore your phone back to stock 4.4.2. I believe you that may be able to use Kies now to restore the phone. You can research this more at these links: ( http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/ ) & ( http://www.samsung.com/us/support/faq/FAQ00059168/81099/SCH-I605TSAVZW ). Also... here's a link on how to use Kies Emergency Firmware recovery tool if needed: ( http://www.samsung.com/us/support/faq/FAQ00059169/81100 ).

The Sammobile site also has instructions on how to restore the device. (Whichever way you decide to use... just remember that it's very important to only use the firmware that is for the SCH-I605 Verizon Note 2 and use NO OTHER DEVICE FIRMWARE).

Good luck :fingers-crossed:

I can confirm that mobile tech video can downgrade your phone and unlock your boot loader. I just got mine back from them and it was running or had installed on it stock 4.1.2 rooted, firmware with the VRALJB Boot loader and radio and it is now unlocked again. I was on upgraded Verizon android 4.3 MJ3 and my bootloader was locked up tight. Is worth the $75.00.
Good luck.
