I have tried to root my phone several times now without luck. I downloaded Arabic Tool and it said that the Version I was running was not supported and that I needed to upgrade to 5.0. I'm already running 5.0. I also tried to download the CDMA-Yemen Tool but apparently that only works on windows 8 and windows 10. I have 7 and nothing else. Any one have any suggestions? I need some major Help. Thank you for your time. I know there are threads out there for help but i am New and cannot reply on posts that are not mine yet. Sorry. Try running it in "Compatibility Mode"?

Right click the app, go down to Properties and click on the Tab that says Compatibility.
So I've been reading that of your emmc starts with an 11, then you have a Toshiba emmc. They are not rootable nor can you bootload. Only phones with the emmc Samsung chip that starts with 15 are susceptible to this hack. Do you know anything about this?

The eMMC chip should have nothing to do with rooting. It DOES matter for the bootloader unlock.

The biggest issue with using the Yemen root is that the phone drivers, USB cable and Windows OS are all set up properly and 'talking' to each other.

So what are the advantages of gaining root access if we can't bootload a custom rom? Are there other options out there other than 5.o?

There are some advantages.. Such as being able to debloat, do backups of system apps and data, use alternate tethering apps and so forth. Depends on YOUR needs.

But correct, without an unlocked bootloader, you can not load an alternate recovery, a different kernel or unauthorized ROMs, etc.
