Help. My screen is flickering just when auto brightness is on

Greetings sir, this has happened to me however I figured it out. I was running an application which would run ads on my phone for Amazon credit. This program was doing the screen dimming/flashing. I believe this issue is potentially app related. Uninstall any data mining apps and try it out.
