help needed flashing custom rom on xt1789-06

hi there i'm trying to flash DU rom on my device i'm following Uzephi's AOSip guide but when i get to the last bit reboot to bootloader i end up with hard brick.
also when doing a flashall from the hard brick the only things that fail are bootloader A/B.
any help would be lovely. cheers Shane

In my signature, there are some guides for soft bricks. Use the firmware for XT1989-06 though.

Worked out how to get out of bricking a while ago. I have Oreo on both slots but could not use the Oreo blank flash and got round the problem by using N blank flash, think it might be because I unlocked my bootloader on N.

I have the same problem. I think DU write the System from TMO/Sprint from XT1789-03. And the Phone is TMO/Sprint locked. Accept Images from another, but you have no SimSlots, WLAN and no Baseband. If you flash an TMO Image for XT1789-03 you have WLAN and SIM-Slots, but no Connection to Mobile Network, because in USA are another frequenzcies.
A QLI Flash crash with Sahara error. A Blank Flash Oreo write Permission denied for all. So I searching a method to crack the TMO/Sprint lock. But I found nothing. A the moment I have a very expensiv paperweight.

That makes no sense. All aosp uses international blobs. Better RIL.

have you tried blank flash for N for your device, I was running oreo but could not use the O blank flash and thought try N and it got me back to bootloader.
