Hi Guys,

I am new to this flashing ROMs, I have a HTC sensation and I used the Rovolutionary.io tutorial to S-Off my phone.
Since then I Downloaded the OTA Telstra ICS update as the current custom ROMs I have researched have had bugs with the WiFi tether (could be wrong).
I decided to use the OrDroid V9.0.0 ROM, but when I download the file from xda, It downloads it and does not stay zipped. I compress the file to .zip.
I tried to install the OTA and it comes up with the blue droid and white triangle and just freezes.
I then tried to install Ordroid through recovery and it gives me a message installation aborted. Please help as I cannot seem to update any way.
Cheers

very strange! are you using the correct download link? when i ran ordroid i downloaded directly to my computer than i transfered to the root of my sd card by using the cable and running my device as disk drive.then i share the file to disk drive e which is my device. then i wipe data factory reset, wipe cash and dalvik, then install through recovery by choosing install zip , then reboot your device. did you do all these steps as ive shown? if so you should have no problem with the download or the zip file. if you do these steps their is no need to change the zip file in any way. It is correct the way it is. I hope this helps you ! Just follow the steps and it will work perfectly.
Always install through recovery! So download the way i have shown, go to recovery, wipe data factory reset, wipe cash and dalvik , stay in recovery, install zip from sd card, reboot. And your all set. Use this method every time. Pay attention to the way to download the zip. Its pretty straight foward. Download directly to computer. Run device as disk drive by checking disk drive. While your hooked up to your usb cable. Go to file shearing when it pops up on the computer, go to downloads, find your download, click share go to share with disk drive e. Then it will place the file to the root of your sd card. Then unplug. And follow flashing instructions i gave you in recovery.

Howdy!

Did you download the file via your computer or via your phone? If it's via your computer just verify that the option to decompress your file aromatically is not tick, that is what could cause your file to decompress everytime you try.

See attachment.
