HELP Oneplus 5 locked and asking for digit pass: I only set fingerprint and pattern

Hi Guys,

I need your expertise here as I’m stuck and can’t use my phone anymore:
I wanted to use my phone this morning but a message with lock screen is informing me: “your phone was restarted and needs to be unlocked using you password/pattern. Please unlock fr all features and data”
I have never set a digit password on my Oneplus5 only pattern and fingerprints:
I can’t use none of them as only the keyboard comes up and there’s no pattern input option which I usually use before the fingerprint.
I’m stuck here what shall I do? I tried recovery mode but its asking me for the password input as well. What shall I do guys?

Thanks for your reply. I have a Z pattern which normally shall be 1235789 according to your explanation but the phone tells me its wrong. What can I do?

You sure it's not asking for Sim password instead of the phone password? Try removing the Sim and restart to check.
