Hi, I'm a new NST owner with v. 1.2.1 and nookmanager's root with gapps. I'm looking for the best rom+kernel combination (fastmode, norefresh, etc).
Also, I, actually, can't logging in greader (feedly or old reader), I use feed+ but it hasn't offline full article download. Thank you for the support and forgive my English.
Hello there,
The amazing thing about the Nook Touch is that you don't need a custom kernel or a custom ROM to get everything a normal Android user would need out of your Nook. NoRefresh is most definitely a staple, but it's not a kernel, it's an app! You can download the version you need on 1.2.1 below in the attachments. Install it by tapping on it in a file explorer like ReLaunch (your homescreen app).
There are currently only two ROMs available for the Nook Touch; the Tweaked Modded ROM and the 1337 ROM. The Tweaked Modded ROM is by
@pinguy1982, and the 1337 ROM is a joint project by
@yattaro and myself. However, I'd recommend running your stock rooted ROM for a while until you become familiar with it, and then perhaps try a ROM.
The kernels available for the Nook Touch right now are really only for advanced users who would like to be able to use a physical keyboard or play audio on their Nook. These kernels can take quite a bit of doing to install and get working correctly, so I would recommend sticking eith your stock kernel for now.
If you'll send me a private message (or PM), I can troubleshoot the issue you're having with the Google Reader.
Have a nice day!
Regards,
Nookie
