You can't flash anything on stock recovery, ever.
Only updates will install, as an update, not to unbrick.
You will have to flash stock firmware xml.zip
With RSD Lite or mfastboot, see index for Links.

Did you verify drivers in device manager?
What does the bootloader screen say?

During flash:
AP fastboot flash mode(S)
0A.61
Battery low(sometimes ok but no longer)
Cannot program (sometimes ok program)
Transfer mode
Usb connect

When I charge with power bank the red led is off.
Unfortunately I buy this phone without original cable(I use the cable of my xperia) and it comes from USA, in Italy it wasn't sold..
RDS read the phone, start program but at step 1/22 say failed.

Hi, battery ok, ok to program, but RDS say: Failed Flashing Process. 6/22 flash "cdt.bin" -> phone returned FAIL
I have try 2 firmwares but nothing.
Edit: I have flash a CDMA TARGA 9.8.2O-72_VZW-22_1ff, phone reboot but I don't have a sim card.
Maybe the firmware now is old? because without sim before brick it starts.
Edit 2: I have found an old sim(not working) and phone is starts. Thank you for all Sd_shadow, now i want CM13 or lineage os...

Don't need a sim card to boot
May need to run some special reset commands

Why half? Because the Slimkat on first slot of Safestrap going well, but in the stock rom partition the OS don't exist..
If I reboot in recovery I see only the green android with a red alert triangle but Slim it's ok.
What can I do? flash a custom rom on stock rom partition?

Super N00B question here. i dug out an old XT875, currently android version 4.1.2, and i want to make it a WearOS device. ive been using it as a wifi pandora player for a few weeks, but i want to know if installing WearOS will let me 1) listen to pandora thru bluetooth earpiece, 2) because it has WearOS i can see notifications from my REAL phone without having my real phone near me (bluetooth communication), and 3) if running this mobile OS will give better than the 14hr battery life i've been getting.

thanks in advance Y'all

You would have to build a WearOS rom for the XT875 from Source
i figured, but was also hoping someone had dabbled in this (oddly specific) endeavor before. ill admit that i am not very good at building a ROM, last time i did for my s4, i ended up bricking it and getting a new phone .... it doesnt HAVE to be WearOS per se, but if it can perform the same functions as listed above, through a Rom that already exists, that would be fine. i want to make the Bionic "WearOS like" bc lets be real, who wouldnt want a 4 1/4" android watch!

anyone willing to assist for a commission?

    Motorola Droid Bionic

This a short list of frequently asked questions in this device forum and the answers often given as a response. It should serve as a starting point for gathering knowledge and finding solutions to many common problems.

Q1: How can I tell if I have a Motorola Droid Bionic?

    1. In the software Menu>settings>about Phone>system version will include XT875.Verizon.en.US
    2. If you install RSD Lite on a PC, connect phone(In AP Fastboot Mode) to PC via usb, and open RSD Lite, The Droid Bionic will be listed as targa in RSD Lite. see How to Use RSD Lite to flash a .XML Stock Rom (firmware)

Q2: What is the newest Stock Android Version and System Version?
    Android: 4.1.2
    System Version: Blur_Version.98.72.22.XT875.Verizon.en.US Fri Mar 8 14:50:18 CST 2013

Q3: Where are the Custom Bootloaders, Recoveries, and Kernels?
Because of the Locked bootloader, the stock bootloader and Stock recovery can not be replaced, But using Safestrap the boot process can be hijacked allowing Custom Recovery, and Kernels
For more on Bootloaders see XDA Wiki: Bootloaders

Q4: Where do I find information on how to root the Droid Bionic?
Q5: Can I root the Droid Bionic without a computer?

    .

Q7: I have a question about a particular ROM but I can't post in the Development section. What can I do to get the help I need?
The Development forum is for sharing ideas on development. If you have a question about a particular ROM, ask it in the Q&A section.

Q11: What is a Factory Cable and why would I need one
A Factory Cable aka Motorola Factory Programming Cable or Fastboot Cable. Allows Many Motorola Devices to be flashed without a battery or Low battery for more seeMotorola Fastboot/Factory Programing Cables
    Q12: What is a SBF?
Quote by cellzealot "SBF is a file type and stands for Single Binary File that is the older format of Motorola flash files for use with RSD lite or other flash tools.
They include all of the code groups, header files and checksums as well as a RAM Downloader for all of the device partition images in a single file and flashed from the legacy boot loader enumerated as a flash device.

The new format for all dual core Motorola devices is zip archive of fastboot images and an XML file that can be used with RSD lite to flash in a single operation or flashed as individual images using the fastboot binary and DLLs in the Android SDK from the fastboot boot loader and enumerated as an ADB device.

These are entirely different modes of access and operation and SBF is both wrong and a misnomer for the firmware files for current devices.
The fast boot interface provides far more flexibility and safety for flashing than the old flash interface and avoids all kinds of problems that would arise from managing and updating he firmware on newer chipset devices.

It is an extremely important distinction to make and understanding to have about how these phones work.

Please stop using SBF when referring to XML.zip files.
The current acronym for Motorola firmware files is FXZ and means Full XML ZIP file."
.SBF, XML.zip and tar.gz" are Official Motorola file extensions

I just pulled out my previous Droid Bionic to give to a friend and it has Android v2.3.4. It doesn't appear to be rooted but I think I may have done it when I was using it, but SU rights aren't available.

    Details
    Android v2.3.4
    System Version 5.9.905.XT875.verizon.en.US
    Baseband Version CDMA_N_04.07.02R LTEDC_U_07.1F.00
    Kernel Version 2.6.35.7-g4fc328e
    [email protected] #1
    Build number 5.5.1_84_DBN-74
    Webtop Version WT-1.3.0-108_DBN-24

I want to wipe this phone to factory
    two options for Factory reset
In Rom: Perform a Factory Data Reset (Device Powered On) - DROID BIONIC by MOTOROLA
In Recovery> Perform a Factory Data Reset (Device Powered Off) - DROID BIONIC by MOTOROLA
    gingerbread: motofail_windows.zip by DjrBliss
    ICS: razrs_edge root by DjrBliss
Jellybean: [ROOT] Saferoot (Jellybean) with Video
    or Rootmaster.apk

it but not install any custom ROMS, just get it working for my friend who needs a phone. I would like to remove any bloat ware
    Freeze Bloatware
I would use Titanium Backup pro app to freeze the bloatware
but that's not absolutely critical, just prevent it from being locked by Verizon,
Not sure what that means, bootloader is already locked, or baseband locked.
although it's going to be used on the Straight talk system.
It will need to be Straight talk's Verizon network option, if it's still available.
I went through several of the forums but I'm not sure what I need to do to accomplish this?

Any suggestions or pointers would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thanks for any help!

    Tom

    Hi guys
I have an Droid bionic with double boot(jelly bean rom stock and CM13) with safestrap, but i'd like cancel the rom stock and use only CM13. What's the correct way for erase jelly bean?
You must continue using safestrap, just install cm13 on stock slot, in safestrap's recovery (twrp)
