[HELP] thread for custom ROMs

2g issue, i'll take a look. Maybe some change from me botched it.
Is 2g working on other roms or is it a problem only on CyanMOD?
About your second question: I can't reproduce that.
I had this issue on CyanMod. 2G works, all right, but I cannot select a preferred network mode via the usual menu. I have to go to the phone options using *#*#4636#*#* to change it everytime. And yes, the issue isn't reproducible, and since it isn't an error, or something that can be found using logs, I'm not sure what I need to provide to help pinpoint the issue.

N baseband does not work with custom roms. At least not for me.I installed soak test N and I stopped being able to make calls when I installed the roms. I suppose they only work with the MM baseband.

Well then you supposed wrong! Moreover it's a NEED for a proper use of all functions of all 7.1 custom roms!
I'm on MM baseband too XT1642 RR5. 8.0 and can toggle 2G/3G/LTE, maybe it depends from device to device and Rom, but flashing N baseband or soak test isn't needed in general! Only if you encounter problems and you did everything. This was just an information for all ;)

Yes, it'll work, but for instance, fingerprint enrollment will definitely not work the way it was intended to.
N soak-test updates not only your baseband, but also your bootloader, amongst other things.
By first going to stock and flashing the N soak-test, the amount of issues decreases drastically!

There is no way, I reinstall everything correctly and the sim card is not recognized. I have the XT1622 do not know if the problem will be this. When I had the official MM firmware I did not have this problem. I installed several roms and the sim card was always recognized.

@velosa if I'm reading correct then it's G4 not G4 plus....! Are you sure you are at right place because i googled "xt1622" and results came are of G4...

It might be problem because you are flashing wrong ROMs... Hardware for both are little different...
Please check and correct me..

Just to say I have single sim xt1622 and i installed N soak test (full) and can run any N custom ROM OK.... So would indicated something wrong in your setup.. Have you tried removing sim card and putting back in... Heard that mentioned a few times for some other issue.(didn't need to do it myself)
