Please post the output of fastboot getvar all after removing your IMEI and serial numbers. You'll get a lot more help by giving us this information. Also, what modifications have you already made to the device?

I've started providing assistance on the other thread you started here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/requesting-stock-ruu-t3908633

Please don't post the same question in multiple places. It is against forum rules, and will just end up in massive confusion for both you, and those trying to help you.

One case in point, neither of your posts have complete information. This one has some info, the other post does not, and vice versa. One post, with all the info, is the best way to go. You won't get faster response, by posting to different threads.

This is for the M8, not M8 dual sim. You're in the wrong thread. Though try this. It may just help.

Hello Everyone ;

I have a weird wi-fi issue that he decides not to connect any wi-fi on his own. And if he wishes to connect he does.. I go wi-fi settings menu, tap on the network i want to connect. It says "saved" after that "disabled". And after a while, i check my phone and it is connected just fine by himself..

Here is the list i tried so far;
-I tried reinstalling rom
-I tried installing different roms
-I resetted my router and rebuilded it. Even changed my network name..
-I tried to connect other networks
-The network i try is just fine i am using it with my pc all the time
-I tried static dns/ip address

Any ideas? Please? I can't afford a new phone. I will be really appreciated if someone help me to fix this ghosted phone

If you have tried ROMs compatible with your device and it's still not working, then normally one would assume you have a hardware problem. Have you tried stock AT&T ROM?
How can i find it ? Can you help me with it?

RUU_M8_UL_M60_SENSE70_ATT_MR_Cingular_US_6.20.502.5_combined i already downloaded this one but it gives error says error 171. Something wrong with usb it says. So i couldn't go back to the stock at&t rom.

This is super confusing now. Info scattered across 4 threads. This is the exact reason why you should not be cross posting.

Why do you think it's the AT&T version? Based on info you posted on another thread, it is not the AT&T version.

His info states it is an AT&T M8. Click more under his name. Thing is, he's in Turkey so AT&T device there is probably the cause of his woes.

And i came back home now, i am connected to wi-fi network. I have done nothing to fix it. Phone wasn't able to connect for 2 days, now suddenly he decides to connect.. Weirdo phone... (Pc was on all the time and no other connected device was on) What's changed? Why can it connect now but didnt last 2-3 days?

I am really sorry for cross posting.. I was panicking just to thought of loosing the phone

That contradicts the getvar info he posted on another thread, which indicates he has a Euro M8:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79482306&postcount=866

I was only able to find this by searching the user's other posts. This is one of the main reason why cross posting is a bad idea (as you pointed out). He has the info about his device and issue scattered over numerous threads, which is confusing those trying to help; and therefore a detriment to getting the problem solved.

I have a feeling the "AT&T" designation in the "More" user info is in error. I am much more apt to believe the getvar info.

Try changing security type of your router (WEP, WPA, WPA2). In particular, WEP and WAP are outdated (security is questionable), and from previous reports do not play well with the m8.

My phone radio randomly stopped working. I don't think it is a hardware problem because the IMEI disappeared. Do I have to flash a RUU or firmware or something. I only really have experience with flashing custom roms.

RUU or firmware might help. Please provide more details about the device. Do fastboot getvar all, and post the results (delete IMEI and serial number before posting).

Does anyone know for certain if our Verizon devices will still work same as now, or will they still work but with lower quality voice and data, or will they not work at all after the CDMA shutdown scheduled end of 2019?

I did research it, but I have a limited understanding of network technologies, and there seems to be conflicting information about it, and it's in Verizon's interest to say it won't work at all which is what they've told me. Thanks in advance for any responses.

I'm trying to sideload LineageOS v.16 on my Verizon M8 (presently on v.15) but adb isn't cooperating.

When I try to run "adb reboot sideload" from Linux Mint 19.1, I get:
'adb root' is required for 'adb reboot sideload'

I 'sudo'd the previous command and got the same error. Yes, I did confirm that root is still enabled on the phone.

When I tried it from Win7 (in a Command Prompt window with Administrator privileges) I got:
adb server is out of date. killing...
ADB server didn't ACK
* failed to start daemon *
error:

I have no idea why it would give the "* failed to start daemon *" message because immediately before that I had run "adb devices -l" and it responded with the correct device. On a whim I switched the USB mode in the phone's settings from "charging" to "file transfer" and tried again. Then I got:
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
'adb root' is required for 'adb reboot sideload'.

I have never before needed to boot to sideload so I hadn't tried it before. And I have "Advanced restart" enabled but there is no "Sideload" selection in the Reboot menu. I don't know that there should be such a selection but its lack might explain why I'm unable to reboot to it. Any idea(s) how to fix this?

Or secondarily, is there a technical reason LOS wants the update done through sideloading rather than flashing it from recovery mode? In other words, is there any reason I shouldn't simply flash the update fro Recovery Mode?

EDIT:
If I run "adb root" or "sudo adb boot" I get (on Linux):
adbd cannot run as root in production builds
