Once you change your CID to 11111111, you can use any RUU. The ones you already tried should work

Also, see my edits to my fir
You don't have to change the MID. 32 header error means the zip couldn't be read and unzipped properly. If it was because of the MID, the error would have been "41 wrong model ID". With superCID on the M8, you don't need to change your MID (you do on the HTC 10 however)Any recommendation from this list, being in Europe?do I need UL or will UHL do?
How to Download Firmware for HTC One M8?, how to - HardReset.info
www.hardreset.info
WWE means world wide edition?
I also have to change the MID apparently, getting an error related to that when trying to flash from SD card.
Another error when trying via commands: FAILED (remote: 32 header error)
Ok, let's try. It gets the same error with many RUU's strangely. And I think I already tried this one, but let's see....You don't have to change the MID. 32 header error means the zip couldn't be read and unzipped properly. WWE stands for World Wide English.
Try this RUU.zip instead: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24369303960687102
No success with the MID changer. Any RUU for 0P6B63000 ?Ok, let's try. It gets the same error with many RUU's strangely. And I think I already tried this one, but let's see....
Maybe I gotta change the flash method, who knows... Thanks
Edit: i get different errors with SD card vs commands. Any link to the windows flashing application?
Apparently the MID has to be the same as in the RUU for the flash to work, as I read in an M7 thread.
Here I found some incompletely explained info: https://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f9...3s5axpFolnq8REKNuRPcotahCk2SIf74YB6bAmj0GNljw
I'd have to know what MID is the correct one (I saw a list somewhere).. and for now I'm getting errors trying to install the MID changer lol
So.. 0P6B10000 is what I need to input for Europe.
So... the MID changer worked, but it's not changing the MID ... 2nd try. Rebooting...
I know the problem. I haven't had an M8 for years now (hard brick of death) so I forgot about this.No success with the MID changer. Any RUU for 0P6B63000 ?
Tried all these and no success
Yup.. thanksI know the problem. I haven't had an M8 for years now (hard brick of death) so I forgot about this.
You need to flash the firmware for 6.12.401.4 before you can flash the RUU. Some weird anomaly with the 6.x.xxx.x RUUs wouldn't allow the flash without flashing the firmware first.
Here's the firmware you need: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24369303960687118
To flash it: fastboot flash zip **drag and drop or type out the name of the zip here**
After that the RUU should be able to be flashed successfully.
so... trying to change the MID never works. Could it work reverting to an older OS? I got one backup.Yup.. thanks
It's not working yet lol
I tried to install it in TWRP, and in fastboot, and in RUU mode too.
in fastboot it says: "FAILED (remote: not allowed)"
Somebody is recommending flashing it from the sd card. Let's see if I just name it 0P6BIMG.zip
Welp: another "model ID incorrect". Without any MID changer methods working I think it's over now.
Maybe via HBOOT with the asian RUU... haha says: Parsing... and suddenly quits and back into fastboot

Allright, things are going smooth now. I had to go back to the backup (an older custom rom I think, Android revolution) to be able to change the MID. I went to dev. MID from there and installed Android 5 (just cuz it was o the SD card already)I know the problem. I haven't had an M8 for years now (hard brick of death) so I forgot about this.

I was about to give up because I have no idea at this point. SUPER glad you're on the right path.Allright, things are going smooth now. Now re-rooted, changed MID again to Europe & installing the latest european RUU. Let's see if I can get Lineage 17.1 or so from here.
Cheers!
Really? I never knew that. That is really cool.
Did Firewater also sim unlock?
So .. this is new thing with Sunshine S-Off ? Seems that I got and provide wrong info all this while.
Bookmarked for future reference when someone need SIM unlock service.
@Bergsi - this is for you ... USD25 to S-Off & SIM unlock in one shot.
I am trying to run Bell.cidnum.BM____001.TWRP.stock.backup.1.55.666.4
However when i try to get the latest version of twrp i can only seem to update up to twrp-2.8.1.0 when i try to go past that it just says entering recovery and nothing happens, the phone vibrates and if i type adb devices it recognized it.
Sunshine performs sim unlock during the s-off processThanks again for your info.
Sadly cellunlocker.net offers no services for phones coming from AUSTRIA :-/
Has anyone else positive experience with a provider, offering SIM unlocking for an HTC One M8 ?
Thanks guys!
