I have a background image I really like but the colors make the status bar difficult to read. Is there a way to change the settings so that a background image fits in between the status bar and the nav bar?

Thanks
You could use paint on your pc and resize it or just make a border at the top of a solid color you choose and then transfer it back to your phone. If you want, send me a pm with the picture and I can do it for you. It's easy to do.

The obvious answer left for s-off is Sunshine. Yes, 25 bucks... But it's your last and now only option. ?

And you're also two firmware updates behind. Any 4.4.3 ROM requires the 2.2x update and the new 4.4.4 ROM's need the 3.2x update..

Would anyone be kind enough to link or attach the Stock kernel for Android 4.4.3 [2.22.401.5] 'CID: HTC_001' International. I have searched everywhere, couldn't find one. The only way I can get one is by downloading a huge nandroid backup and search for the boot.img, but this is not an option for me right now.

And, Is it possible to OTA update while Bootloader is unlocked (HTCdev) and S-ON but with everything else is stock (Stock 2.22.401.5, Stock Kernel, Stock recovery.)

Thanks and Please help! [If these questions were asked before, please post a link to that thread/post before deleting my post:crying:]
I just need the stock kernel guys. Please help!

I'm in exactly the same position but with EE here in the UK. I have used twrp to restore a stock rom and re flashed the stock recovery but sunshine still refuses to work, OK I thought I will just install all the ota and wait it out until EE release the latest and that will get me the firmware I need to flash arhd 20.3 but after doing the first ota my WiFi refuses to turn on! So now I can't do anymore ota updates, can't use sunshine and am stuck on ahrd 11.2!! Wish I had never messed around with it! Anyone shed any light??! Please?!?

So did you flash 20.3 without updating to the proper firmware version? Or did you try flashing to a proper twrp recovery of your carrier?

Also, did you relock your boot loader after flashing stock recovery?

No I haven't flashed 20.3 at all yet because I understand you need a 3.**.**.* based firmware for it to work correctly, I flashed a proper stock twrp for my csrrirr , flashed stock recovery but I didn't relock the bootloader after that. Is that where my problems are coming from??

Missing Extreme Power Saver

Hi there,
Quite a bizarre issue.
I have an EU M8 which recently received the OTA update for 4.4.4, firmware 3.32.111.3.
Since the update, Extreme Powersaving mode stopped working, and it's missing from the power menu.
I had extreme power saving mode before the update.
Please forgive me if this has been posted before, I have searched, and I'm searching at the moment to see if there is anything I've missed.
I'm just so puzzled!

It looks like I may have received a German OTA update, and for some reason they removed Extreme powersaving mode. That's about as much as I could get with the power of google translate :p
Quite sad about that :/

Most likely where it went wrong. Personally, I'd use the RUU to make sure you didn't forget anything since its an all in one and is specific to every carrier.

But to relock it either use the M8 All in One Toolkit or "fastboot oem lock" it yourself

the best method to root my m8 ?
Unlock bootloader, flash custom recovery, flash SU binaries... I think recovery will prompt you to do this, install SU app. Or flash custom rom (pre rooted)

Same procedure as many other devices. ?

See the stickies in general section. everything is covered in them.
