After Nougat update, I don't get navigation bar popping up when fingerprint scanner is touched while in full screen mode. For example while watching videos, I used to touch the scanner and navigation bar would pop up. Has this feature been removed?
Same here. Used the sensor to bring up nav bar while watching YouTube or MX player.

Updated this afternoon and the device has been laggy since. The quick settings and the nav bar stutter quite a lot.

The nav bar issue is easy to live with but my phone has become really laggy to the point of frustration. Hope they release an update soon to rectify this mess.

That's a general problem of ota updates: you can't go back to the version used before(without void the warranty). That's why so many people unlock their bootloader, flash custom recovery and use custom roms. Your gain more flexibility and YOU decide which rom you choose. For me it's the better option to deal with.

The stutter problem seems to appear when I turn on the data. Rest of the time it's quite alright to use.

With the data on, unlocking the screen is a real hassle. Just to try something I turned off the automatic system updates option in the developers option for now.

I wonder is there a safe way to downgrade from nougat to mm?

Is Motorola going to release any further updates too this?

I'm on cm 14 based custom ROM on soak test N. I have never flashed any external modem files except the soak test OTA to update that.(xt1643). How do I make a backup of modem and other files(that TWRP doesn't backup) so that while downgrading even if I lose radio access I 'll be able to restore current modem and what ever is needed(wifi and cellular Access).? Also if backup is made how do I restore?
Also what are the changes to these files from soak test to final release as I don't think I'll return to stock if it doesn't make a difference after I flash custom ROM again(like baseband and stuff)?

I contacted the Motorola support this afternoon about the UI stutter and they suggested I reset the app preferences, I did and the phone has been noticably smoother.

They said they have no information regards 7.1 update to Moto G4 Plus though.

Just an update to my situation with nougat, I uninstalled an app named CPU-X which was interfering with the system UI.

Now the lags are gone. Maybe that explains why my friends who don't use that app have a smooth experience on nougat.

Hi everybody
I have installed cm13 on my moto g4 plus xt1642.
I have flashed elementalx-g4-0.07-cm.zip and installed mod wake gestures in xposed.

Here I'm getting a msg that wake gestures are not supported or they haven't been enabled .

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
I don't use xposed
