Without cited sources that could be just a few random declarations without much evidence. This does not mean it cant be common but there are no clues to follow. Please cite the source of the most convincing statements you found about this which leads you to think it is common.Hey, thank you for replying.
I could be wrong but it seems fairly common due to it returning a decent number of results on Google, mostly to this forum. There's lots of threads reporting similar issues but not a lot of discussion. Nobody seems to have a solution past taking it to a repair centre, but it just feels like such a strange issue.
That makes it sound like it might be a software issue, so definitely don’t open up the device yet. Rather try a clean flash with no third party modifications. If you are on stock then try factory reset. If you can reproduce the issue in a clean flash/factory reset then you might consider posting a bug report at whatever resource is available for the ROM you are using. It also might be a good idea to wait a few days to see if anyone else here can provide information about this.f I try to play something on Google Play Music, the track just won't start. Youtube gives an error message saying playback failed. Media just doesn't attempt to play at all. Plugging headphones in doesn't work either, they're just not detected.
Up until a couple of days ago, I could still hear sound when booting up the phone but that's stopped now. I saw a couple of people say that they opened up the phone and found that the connector for the speaker was loose and was a fairly simple fix, but I don't really want to open up the phone unless I really have to.
