Yes, the logo will overwrite the unlocked bootloader warning, but isn't it cool to have an unlocked bootloader yet?

Can you give the steps to root my phone without removing the original nougat from it.
Already discussed and detailed explained one page before, just read the posts/guides;)

Heres how you unlock bootloader and flash a custom recovery https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/guide-newbie-resource-thread-t3386584

after that you must install the ElementalX kernel https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/development/kernel-elementalx-g4-0-01-t3424836

After that you can flash latest Magisk.

Now you have your stock nougat rom rooted :highfive:

ok thanks -

is it charging slow in this rom? its show Slow Charging -
Also, slow charging can be a result of your battery being nearly full - charging is fast until about 70-80 % then will show down to trickle charge until the battery is full.

If you want to test if turbocharging is working, discharge your battery to about 20-30 % and try charging. Use an app like Ampere to monitor charging current and temperature; charging seems to work below 43/44 degrees for the battery and you should see 2000 mAh or so for current if turbocharging is functioning.

Hmm, those temperatures look okay. Try to leave your device alone (don't use it) and see if better charging is negotiated. GSAM battery monitor can give you a charging time estimate.

As for flashlight, apparently the chop chop motion works for flashlight https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76587856&postcount=1677 or download a flashlight app from the play store.

Hello guys. A year back I unlocked bootloader, flashed TWRP recovery and rooted my Moto G4 Plus. After that I whenever I rebooted my device encountered this bootloader warning, which felt annoying at that time so in order to get rid of this "unlocked bootloader warning" I flashed some .zip file, which worked very well so far.
So my question is this,
If in near future I decide to revert back to stock recovery and relock the bootloader, is it necessary for me to replace that custom bootlogo with the stock bootloader warning, or the custom bootlogo won't have any effect in the process.
If it does effect the process of reverting back to stock recovery and relocking the bootloader again by resulting in a bootloop or a bricked device, how can I remove the custom bootlogo that I have in place of "unlocked bootloader warning" and get back to the "unlocked bootloader warning" again.
Hope the question makes sense.

If you flash the full firmware
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin*
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1*
fastboot erase modemst2*
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn

and wipe data
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache

you should be good to re lock bootloader

fastboot oem lock

Is this the correct thread for the procedure you mentioned?

Are there any versions of Viper4Android and Dolby Atmos working with Moto G4 Plus running on Oreo 8.1.0?
If you have magisk, you can check the magisk modules forum for working versions of V4A and Dolby Atmos. On my Moto G4+ RR 6.2 Oreo 8.1 magisk rooted, v4a works flawlessly (tho does take a bit of effort to get Convolvers to work). I no longer use atmos since about a month but can confirm I used to have Magisk atmos alongside v4a work perfectly for the entire while.

Hello, so I know that this question is heavily off-topic, but, coming from an almost 2 years old G4 Plus, what would you choose as a new device, Moto G6 Plus or HTC U Ultra? (They both retail for the same price in my country)
