Hope I am doing this correctly, did not see a place to post new thread.

I am a first time smart phone buyer and am looking at the MOTO G7. It will be used in the US and Panama therefore would want it unlocked.

Want to use it first with WiFi. When activating the phone can I bypass the SIM card request and just continue setting it up?

Thanks for any thoughts.

For the external memory card, would a microSD card work? And what size sim card does the G7 Plus use? Can I just pull mine out of my OP3T and pop it in? (can't recall if op3t is a micro or a nano) Thanks.

Hi All!
Has anyone of you been able to successfully re-lock the G7 Plus' bootloader?
For me, no matter what I'd tried, it will keep on informing that the device has loaded a different operating system and the verity check is stuck on disabled.
Thanks in advance!

Hey was wondering if anyone can link a guide or respond with a guide on how to unlock Bootloader and root my device. XT1965-2 RETLA QPWS30.61-21-9
I've been jumping forum to forum only gathering bits of info here and there but nothing specific. Not I accidentally updated to the latest security patch not sure if that will affect me. If anyone could help that would be great.

I recommend reading the lineage wiki page linked to on the lineage 17.1 thread in the roms forum as well users experience there on the flashing process .

If you want TWRP instead of lineage recovery you can grab that from twrps website. If you want to stay with stock ROM just following the instructions provided on lineages website or in the thread I mentioned and just omit flashing a ROM and just flash magisk instead.

Don't be afraid of messing something up if it doesn't work the first time as there is always ways to go back, and sometimes messing up is the best way to learn.

As there is plenty of information posted in these forums I don't think another guide is needed really, it just takes a little reading to get going and the lineage wiki is the best place to start.

I am terribly sorry if this is already somewhere to be found, my query didn't give me any results.
I received a new G7 Plus, and I would like to flash lineage.

I enabled OEM unlocking in the phone,
but when I boot in fastboot flash mode, it says

"oem_locked"

When I try to enter the command "fastboot oem get_unlock_data",

I receive the ERROR:

(bootloader) slot-counttas: not found
(bootloader) slot-suffixe: not found
(bootloader) slot-suffi: not found
...
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
finished. total time: 0.000s

Do you have any ideas how I can fix this?

Which adb version

My is a few months old
Android debug bridge version 1.0.4 1
Version to 29.0.6-6198805
If it's older than that download a newer version.

Does fastboot devices work?

Code: 
 fastboot devices
Should get device s/n followed by fastboot

Could try factory reset or reflash firmware with LMSA Flash Rescue

Hi!

fastboot devices works well, but every other command results in this failure

I tried both WIN10 and Debian 10:

debian:
Android Debug Bridge version 1.0.39
Version 1:8.1.0+r23-5

Windows:
Android Debug Bridge version 1.0.32
Revision eac51f2bb6a8-android

So I'll try to update and check again. Thank you!

So I downloaded the newest platform tools and it appeared to work. The error message is not there anymore.
I also downloaded the firmware upgrades.
However, now it seems like my terminal is unresponsive. I entered the command
Code: 
fastboot oem get_unlock_data
and nothing happens. I don't get an error message or anything. My cursor jumped in the middle of the line below the command, and then nothing happens.
Do you have any other idea?

I just read that it is important to have a google account, which I don't. Is that a necessary requirement?

I cannot flash the firmware, either. It says

"failed to match the connected device. Reconnect the device, then try again."

It downloaded some file, but it says it is not able to flash.

I guess I will just return it and try a different device. But thank you for your help!

TMobile revvl plus

Does any one know if these app or mods etc work on revvl plus cuz they r same phone? I've not got root or bootloader to work yet and I've tried a bunch of them. Also how do u change IMEI without root since I can't find 1 that works. Thanks

    To be honest, I didn't see anything about the camera sensor in there, so I downloaded another app and it said something about my firmware beeing locked

    I ordered an international model and should have it on Tuesday.

    I see that Vache joined two G7 Plus telegram groups, maybe he'll get into developing for it. Hope to see TWRP for it fairly soon.
