if bootloader is unlocked you normally would see a bootloader unlocked screen every time it boots
also will say unlocked in AP fastboot mode

I guess bootloader is not unlocked then. Is it possible to unlock it and root this XT1058 4.2.2. 139.12.54.ghost_att.ATT.en.US?
I don't want to flash another rom, but I want to delete all bloatware and to do some tweaks on this 4.2.2.

hey guys...I have bricked my moto X 2013 by flashing it with a wrong firmware..now its completely bricked..i tried following all the tutorials right from riffbox method to rsd Lite..using either method fails coz during flashing it fails to switch to fastboot mode...is there any other way I can revive my phone...my bootloader is screwed due to the wrong firmware flash..is there any trick that can get me into fastboot mode??

if it is completely bricked (no sign of life), no
what is it doing exactly?
what is on screen?
what is it listed in Device Manager? (PC)

It isnt doing anything..it doesnt power on..it doesnt even get into recovery mode...it did show the LED glowing a few days back..now it just flickers on a few tries...
There is nothing on the screen...its dead...
The device manager on my PC under COMM ports showed QHSUSB something...so I installed the Qualcomm drivers and now it says Qualcomm QDLoader 9008 something...I tried using the riffboxx method to flash my phone via the USB but it gives me an error of somekind towards the end..."invalid NAK response error..try by using a battery eliminator circuit" and something like that..also I wanted to know if there was a hardware trick that could get my phone to boot into recovery....and lastly..is there any part or component that I can order online and replace it myself to get it working again..or atleast get it into recovery or download mode..I do have the stock ROM downloaded on my PC....

did you ask in that thread?

Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
Yes I did...I guess I did..but I just wanted to know if there is a hardware workaround...can I get a hardware component replaced?? And also I wanted to know what exactly is happening...why is it not getting into fastboot...does the bootloader have anything to do with it..if it does then I guess the bootloader wont work..I flashed it with the wrong firmware...I guess that gets the basic hardware ready for boot up...so where does it sit?? On what component..?? If you think I should look someplace else let me know..if XDA people cant solve the problem I dont know who will???

I am stuck in TWRP recovery mode. I have cleaned the system so there is no OS currently installed. No backups.
Every time I try to install a zip (ROM) it shows 'error executing updater zip' and a few lines before shows 'your device model is...'
Since there is no OS I cannot reboot.
Please help asap...
Edit : I have already rooted it
