So, as far as I've been reading, it isn't safe to flash XT1060 rom onto an XT1050? I really want that stock 5.1 ROM... or can I use CM with 4.4.2 modem and stuff? (already unlocked boot loader, flashed TWRP and currently making a backup of current system).

I bought a Samsung flash drive that plugs into my Moto X, but due to the new 'DocumentFile API' that apps have to use, most of my apps (mainly Neutron Music Player and Smart Audiobook Player) can't see it. Is there a custom kernel or some other fix? I'm using Oct-OS M on my Moto X, fwiw.

I tried [HOW-TO]Full USB OTG on Media Players in Marshmallow, but it didn't work. If my Moto X had more that 11 GB available, I probably wouldn't bother.

Hi, i have a problem with my moto x, i flashed Peruvian Movistar Rom and the rom was normal installed but when i have tried to turn on the phone, Bootloader Unlocked warning appear but not appear moto x Gif or video, only is a Black Display that says No command and it flashes 5-7 seconds. It was Movistar Rom with 5.1 and i was in CM13, i only wanted moto x funtions. Sorry for my english but who can help me

the "No command" is likely recovery
when you see that, try pressing the volume up button and power, to enter recovery, and factory reset

Moto X 2014 updating TWRP from 2.8.4 to 3.0.2-1

Hi guys, I had stock rooted marshmallow with twrp 2.8.4 installed. I rebooted in recovery from the twrp manager and I installed the previously downloaded 3.0.2-1 version from the twrp website. I rebooted again in recovery and changed to 755 the chmod of the twrp backup folder in order to copy the backup to my pc. Now the phone powers up but after the animation it powers off. If I hold power button and volume down button it doesn't show anything and tries to boot the phone normally but after a while it powers off again.
I tried to disconnect the battery connector but nothing changes.

I maneged to start recovery.
i tried to turn it off from recovery. after that I rebooted it and after the boot animation I can see "starting android" and " starting apps" but it heats up and doesn't start.

Should I restore a backup from twrp or factory defaults?

which file did you flash, full name?

What version of the bootloader are you on? What model phone do you have?

I would return completely to stock kernel, system and recovery (boot.img, system.img and recovery.img) but what stock firmware depends on the model of the phone and the version of the bootloader.

MotoXT1058 Factory unlocked. The issues I'm facing and I need your assistance please.

Firstly I'm a noob in all these developer kind of things. I dont even know what bootloader means and i dont know how to check the status whether its locked or unlocked. I'll give u all the details of the status of my mobile and let me know whether i can get it back to normal status. The issues i'm facing right now are a lot and briefly:
1) First the primary camera stopped working while i was taking a pic from "evernote" app. It worked for a couple of times accidentally after that but again stopped finally. Whenever i start camera it says "Camera error, Pls restart the camera"
2) The flash light error came after a few days. I can just start the flash light from the drop down menu of the android lolllipop and after that the icon disappears from that dock. I had to restart the phone to turn it off. (Recently i found turning on the camera while flash light is on can turn the flash light off. Anyways the camera doesnt work)
3) The wifi when i turn on it works and when i turn it off it shows turned off. But when i see the battery status and check the usage details I can see battery is being used for wifi also. and when i restart my device i can see the wifi is turned off from the battery usage too.

My device is Moto X First Gen AT&T factory unlocked bought from amazon.com and i'm using it in India.

I've done all the basic things from internet to solve these but none worked. Like reset mobile,clear cache partition. But a friend suggested that install a custom rom or stock rom and try it may solve the problem. Someone please tell me or provide necessary links to proceed further.
