Hi,

Can anyone help out on how to setup work profile on nothing os 1.1.7

I don't think the settings are exposed on this version of the system. However, the search shows that some positions exist in the com.android.settings, hence it MAY just work if you add your workspace account to your phone. This is just speculation on my part though -- never needed to use the Android for work infrastructure.

Hey guys I need your help with notifications.
If I have no notifications, like for example on facebook messenger, I get the first one with sound and glyph lights. But if I don't swipe the notification away, I don't get anymore notification sounds, only the lights and it's absolutely insanely frustrating. I've got the phone today and I instantly updated it to the latest available OTA update which is 1.1.7. I tried disabling adaptive battery, tried going into notifications for the app. Everything is enabled. I've had Enhanced notifications turned on. I tried Even factory resetting the phone. Nothing helped. Does anyone have any idea what can I do? I am starting to think I need to return the phone...

Weird, I've EEA NOS1.1.7 too, I have had no problems with notifications at all -- battery optimization for Messenger turned off, notifications turned fully on.

Messenger Lite, on the other hand, works even on the "optimized" battery setting. Only thing is that the notifications don't ring if they come in intervals shorter than about 2 seconds.

I'm gonna do a little research over the weekend and get back to you on this.

This was the issue. I didn't know there is a battery setting for a per app basis. Water I switched these to Unrestricted, they started behaving like they should. Thank you for the info!!!

Although messenger behaves just like you said, this works for Discord. I get every single notification with sound.

Edit: I stand corrected, this is ramdump mode. It may signify a hardware problem, it may signify you held a weird button combination when turning the phone on. Try restarting it by holding power.

Found myself here too once when taking the phone out of my pocket. Don't know at all what happened. I just held the power button until the device restarted and it was fine.

I flashed boot and vendor_boot, custom firmware. Did a data reset and rebooted the smartphone. So I got into ramdump mode.
Now I can't get out of it. Tried different button combinations.

Gotta level with you - I have no idea how to help you, because before your query I never came across ramdump tbh. I would ask on Nothing's official discord, since there are devs there, or just try and get it replaced.

Unless somebody knows what else to do, my knowledge kinda ends here.

Interesting coincidence. I'm on the same version, and the same happened to me today! After a phone call the screen would not turn on again and stayed completely black. System was still awake, because e.g. double-press on power button to launch camera still worked (gave vibration feedback but nothing happened on screen). Force re-started with long power button press and it was ok again. After maybe 30-60 mins I noticed it had happened again. Never happened before, and hasn't now happened again for a few hours. Spooky...

Stupid idea, but just maybe... Did you perhaps have chat bubbles enabled and open when that happened? Preferably more than three at once?

OnePlus had a problem with systemUI hanging because of 2+ open chat bubbles, hence why I'm asking.

Yes It happened to me again today, after my call... Is there a way to turn off the bubble icon?

yes i have sd aid pro, it doesn't find any un usual file and hence unable to clear it (i use sd maid pro actively from last 4 yrs on all my android device.
i have found out a oneplus forum thread with the same issue.

I am updating my nothing phone 1 on nothing os 1.5.0 open beta unofficially by manually downloading the rom file .My question is can I get the stable update officially when stable update come?

I have the same question, my plan is to upgrade to 1.5.0 beta and then up to the latest hotfix, but I'm wondering whether I'd be able to simply upgrade OTA when the official stable update comes.
