Beta testers got the stable build of 1.5.2 with Android 13 a few days ago. But there are no official information yet regarding the rollout to the rest of users. The changelog of Android 13 indicates important improvements in the software.

Hi everyone I want to clarify if someone has the same problem on Android 12 nothing os 1.1.8 (same Android 13 nothing os 1.5.1)
flip to glyph function does not work.
It works out only if you noticeably raise the front of the phone (where the camera block is), the transition between firmware and hard reset did not help. Bla attempted to calibrate the accelerometer, but also did not give results.
Has anyone encountered a similar situation and is it possible to somehow solve it?

Most likely the matter is in the sensor, because without a cover the situation does not change

Received the stable Androind 13 today. I have noticed the following :
The lock reen shortcut for device controls does not appear in the lock screen when I select it from the settings. The other shortcuts for the lock screen work fine. Is this a bug or it is just me?

device controls does appear for me (except right after a reboot).
However, none of the shortcuts are working for me at all.
Hmm, my wifi performance is really not good.
My S9 on Wifi N pulls around 170Mb a sec and the Nothing phone cant even hit 100Mb.
Is there a setting I'm missing..? Wifi perf cant be worse than a 4 year old phone.

I just watched Marques brownlee's review and I gotta say, he's right about the glyph lights.
It needs more customisation. There's no way to tell what alert came In or what's it's for, just that something happened.
Are there any improvements on the way regarding that? Or any software that allows us to customize?

Context:
I recently updated to Nothing OS 1.5.2 from 1.1.8 EEA
(Couldn't find the right stock boot image to update via OTA -> Version mismatch/Installation failed)
I then tried to rollback to an older Version (1.1.3) from (1.1.8) to an "update through the OTA till 1.5.2" to try getting back to a stock Rom-State.
I installed boot and Vendor_boot.img from 1.1.8 EEA which did not work and left me in a Fastboot-bootloop. As an last Option i downloaded the Nothing OS 1.5.2 Fastboot Rom.
At install i noticed, I can't unlock critical partitions to flash the Full ROM but the Phone works without flaws since 2 Days.
Question: Does it make a big difference if critical paritions aren't flashed ?
(I have had bad experiences with updates not completly installed)

It is not allowed for me to unlock critcal partitions.
command: fastboot flash unlock_critical
It says something like "not allowed" when i try to unlock ot via fastboot command, can't tell why.
Check if OEM unlock is enabled in developer settings. Also note that fastboot flash unlock_critical will reset your data. Otherwise, you can try flashing the missing partitions from fastbootd (not normal fastboot!) without unlocking critical. To enter fastbootd you can use adb reboot fastboot.
Thanks ! So if i flash critical partitions via fastbootd then i could prevent a factory reset.
I'm not sure if you'll be allowed to do the flash. Just try, at worst it will just give you an error.
Tried to flash full Rom today, works in fastbootd via command adb reboot fastboot.

Having no clear and definite visibility on this kind of problem and despite the various messages left on the Nothing Discord or the forum, there is no feedback yet.
I wrote the tutorial that allows to use Qualcomm's tool (Qualcomm Product Support Tools) but I'm not sure if it works for the Phone(1), even if the processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon.
So when in doubt, I prefer not to post it.
But this afternoon I will post a tutorial on how to use Sideload.3Hi, i noticed a weird bug with night shift mode on the nothing phone1, no matter how you'll set up your night shift mode it will always turn it on BUT it'll never turn it off again, at least for me now.
Hopefully it'll get fixed within the next update2
