Can anyone consult me about stock 1.5.2.
I removed updates for default clock app, and now this is simple stock Google clock. Is it possible to return np clock app without factory reset?

Sorry if someone else had asked this before, but after sideloading an update, I can no longer get normal OTA update? Because I sideloaded 1.1.7 and 1.1.8, and when I do the check for update in the setting, and it just said I am up to date

Hi everyone I want to clarify if someone has the same problem on Android 12 nothing os 1.1.8 (same Android 13 nothing os 1.5.1)
flip to glyph function does not work.
It works out only if you noticeably raise the front of the phone (where the camera block is), the transition between firmware and hard reset did not help. Bla attempted to calibrate the accelerometer, but also did not give results.
Has anyone encountered a similar situation and is it possible to somehow solve it?
Only when tilted this way does the function work.

Here is how to turn on Flip to Glyph !

For those who are not able to turn on the flip to glyph on Nothing Phone (1) even after trying restart and factory reset. I bought them on 15 Jan' 23 and mine didn't worked either. With the latest updates still it wasn't working. Here is how to do it.

1) Open phone dialler, type *#*#0#*#*, CIT menu will open. Find all the options which has sarsensor, compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, distancesensor & the most important sensor calibration.

2) Now one by one open this options and follow the steps written there. If you have followed the steps correctly and getting back to the main menu it will say PASS, if not pass then try again and wait for the result if all okay manually enter PASS.

3) Once done with all the steps especially for the last step sensor calibration which requires to put the phone on a flat surface ( preferably on a floor or table) and wait for the sensor to be recalibrated. If the result is PASSED then you are good to go.

4) Go to Glyphs interface, turn on Flip to Glyph and it will work for sure if followed all the steps correctly.

Unfortunately, it did not help, when trying to calibrate the sensor, lying on a flat table, the sensor still shows that the phone is not lying flat and the test fails.
Through third-party applications, tode is not calibrated

Does anybody know, how to set up a fast access to Phone Dialer? I know it's fast, but it is still no as fast, as it was on our old phones. I have my contacts in default dialer and i have them as a separate app. I just want to see a numeric keyboard when i open a Phone. Or maybe you could advice some side apps? I tried to finde one, but all of them are the same of different color. Thanx in advance

Hey folks, just a quick question to verify my research so far:

Is there a usable recovery for the NP1 out there, that allows easy pushing/pulling of full backups (like TWRP for literally any other device)?

For me it looks like the manufacturer did set up the phone in a way that nobody really has an easy option/access for that task. I'd like to upgrade to A13 but I would really prefer to have a solid method of just pulling an image of the current state of my phone.

So is my general impression correct, that we don't really have a usable recovery system for NP1?

You might want to check if you are using a beta version of Insta. Check in Google PlayStore if you are on the beta channel.
If so, switch back to the regular release channel / unsubscribe from beta channel.
That solved many other issues with Meta-Apps aswell as refreshrate, black screens, crashes

I've downloaded Nothing Phone(1) Fastboot ROM v 1.5.2, where I can see the boot and vendor_boot images but I'm missing the 1.5.2 firmware. There are no zip files in the folder so what am I doing wrong?

Did you try the latest Instagram apk to see if it resolves your issue ?

I wanted to flash the firmware, which sadly failed. Now, I am stuck on the boot screen displaying "press any key to shutdown". I can't access Fastboot nor the bootloader. I tried the EDL mode (using volume keys and shorting the test points) which both result in the boot screen again.

How can I rescue my device?

Hi, So i've contacted Nothing support several times but nor response. My biggest issue these days is that Smart Lock regularly stops working. And when I check it's settings , the settings in Smart lock are gone basically. A restart or a Google Trust Agent turn off/on usually fixes it but it's a pain.

I updated from 1.5.2 to 1.5.3 hotfix via Fastboot (Full update)

It seems the Apps I debloated did not reappear after update to higher OS Versions, where i come to the conlusion they must be removed from newer OS Versions (example: Gboard, Gdrive etc.)
I noticed a behavior on older Android Versions where Disabled/deinstalled System Apps did reappear after updates.

So my Question is:
Can anyone confirm that there is less bloat (unnessesary System Apps) on later nothing OS versions ?


Ps: Running with root on latest Nothing OS with MGLRU Disabler (gwolfu)
