Hey there... Well i really badly need gcam cause it is much more better than the stock camera that i have in my mi a1.Will the magisk method of enabling camera2api work now.?I asked this because you posted a thread for enabling camera 2 api on February 8 2018 and also is the method changed after the android pie update in Mi A1?. If there is any link for step by step videos or any article regarding enabling camera 2api I will really appreciate for it.

Looking forward for an early response.

Thanking you

Give it a try and see what happens.

I don't have an A1 anymore, so I cannot be of much help.

Maybe others in this forum can confirm.

Thanks.

Yes, you can. Some kernels support faster charging speed.

My phone can't get cellular signal after downgrading from Pie to Oreo. Is There any solution?
I've tried upgrading and downgrading back and forth and still no luck.. :crying::crying:
Do you have a EFS backup from Oreo? If yes, restore it on TWRP. If no, restore the EFS backup from here:

I'm using a Gcam downloaded from a thread in this forum, Gcam port to A1 that works well. For POrtrait mode I think it not use both camera, but works. Works well with Panorama pictures two (both things I use that camera for). GoogleCamera 5.2.025

Eversince I upgarded my device to Pie, it randomly puts itself into DND mode when someone calls me... I have been suffering from this for way too long, and I don't think that it is supposed to be a feature... Does anyone know what makes this happen and how can I make it stop?

So guys tried gcam yesterday using magisk root and it wasted my whole day. Well i rooted my device using magisk and enabled camera 2 api and downloaded gcam.. And it was amazing.. in this stage my bootlaoder was unlocked and magisk was still there in my device. Once i downloaded gcam, i wanted to get rid of the root.. So i completely uninstalled magisk root and then there was an automatic reboot. my phone got bricked and i could only enter fastboot mode. I then flash booted using stock rom using miflash tool and cleaned all data and my phone is now perfectly fine. however i didnt lock my bootloader, I am still scared to lock my bootloader because i feel my device will be bricked. However i guess my camera 2api is gone and the root is gone.

I want to install gcam again and wanted to remove the root without my phone being bricked. Please if u guys are kind enough to tell how to lock bootloader and remove magisk after downloading gcam without losing data and gcam

P. S. It was actually a tense moment tho and i literally thought i had to buy a new phone when my phone got bricked.

thankyou, does some of it enables Qualcomm quick charging?
You've asked the same question 3 times. The answer will always be no, Mi A1 doesn't do fast charging of any kind. The confusion started because of a viral fake news web writeup which many ignorant people continue to repeat.

Yes, you can. Some kernels support faster charging speed.
No you can't. The kernels may try to enable it but that doesn't mean that the phone actually does fast charging.

To me, fast charging is 2000mA. If you read my post carefully, you can see I didn't talk about Qualcomm Fast Charging, sir.

Don't be worried, you don't have to root your phone to get GCam working. Just find a correct tutorial to have your Camera2API enabled and without root. Thats how I did it and it still works even if I update my phone.

If you read AlvinKyo's post (which you replied to) carefully, you will see that he is asking about faster charging speed. Since the stock rom is already charging at 2A/10W, he is clearly talking about 15W charging or higher. Nice try though.

Secondly Qualcomm's terminology is quick charge not fast charge. And Qualcomm Quick Charge 1.0 charges at 1.5A/5V which is actually slower than the stock Mi A1.

Hello and thanks for reading this, I apologize for the bad English.
*
What have I done:
I tried to root the device and how foolish I was trying to do it.

Abbreviated version: Destroyed the operating system (When I lock OEM says that the OS is destroyed), it can fastboot, I do not know what to do.

I need help because I destroyed the operating system on my Mi A1 and it's now in a loop. The device turns on, says the operating system is destroyed, then it turns off and so on in the loop. It can start the fastboot, but I do not know what to do,
Do I use the MI Flash tool to restore it from 10.0.8.0 to 10.0.4.0 stock or simply take the device to service.

I am afraid that i will break it more and apologize again for the bad English.

You can flash latest stock rom via MiFlash. Check YouTube for flashing tutorials.
