[HELP]Unlocking BOOTLOADER.

Sup ALL,

I am new to XDA i own a MOTO G 2014 and i want to root and install a custom CM12.1 ROM i was reading this thread

But i am confused with the process of unlocking BOOTLOADER

How can i backup all of my data(games,apps,msgs,contacts & everything) before unlocking BOOTLOADER?

Which is the best app to backup all the data from the phone and restore it quickly after installing custom ROM?

Please guide me through the process of backing up the data from phone.

Download the app "Helium" from Playstore and also download the windows application and install it. Now install the motorola drivers on your pc, reboot and start the helium application. Now start the app on your phone and backup all your apps

Thanks man.. as you said i backed up all app data from my phone using Helium.
How can i backup all apk's,internal storage files..etc.

For the apks, just install es file Explorer from Playstore, open it, click on the top left button and select 'app' under 'library' . Then press and hold on the app that you want to backup and click 'backup'. Now just copy the all the files and folders from internal storage to your pc and put them back on your phone after you unlocked your bootloader. Good luck!

Backed up all apps and contacts using super backup also copied all the folders from internal storage to PC..

Now ready to unlock BOOTLOADER:angel::angel:
