Hi, I have an LG G-pad 7.0 V410 with Lollipop (5.0.2) and rooted with kingsoft. I would like to install official CM but all the guides I found are for Kitkat. It is the first time I attempt to do such thing and obviously I don't feel very confident. Where can I find TWRP for lollipop (5.0.2)? Also, if anyone could list the basic steps to follow, I would be grateful.

1. Never root with king****
Its impossible to flash any ROM over lollipop firmware, its has different, locked bootloader. You've got to downgrade to KitKat if you want to flash ROMs

After your reply i read some things on xda and it appears to be debatable.

Anyway, is there a way to unlock the bootloader instead of downgrading? Cause dg appears complicated and i lack the knowledge.

eh eheh.. the point is - IMO - why let an app do such a delicate process when you could do it by yourself with 4 or 5 steps controlling every step of the process?

To go back to KK, simply download the kdz available here on xda (use the search) and flash it with LG Flash Tool.. Then root, flash recovery and then wipe and flash CM and gapps ;)

I am new to these things. Will I have to do the internal storage part as mentioned here in step 8 or is it only for stock?

Also, do I have to do the white lines fix? And I guess I would have to uninstall kingroot, right?

wow, pain!!! I got you :D :D

to be honest, I own the v400 and I did not know that the KK build for v410 was a TEST OS, whatever it means!
So, for my v400 and for my G2 all I have to do is download the kdz and flash with LG Flash Tool or also use LG Mobile to use the official way to restore, here there's a lot more of work it seems!

My guess is to follow the guide you linked, it seems complete and safe, but before starting the process be sure to have all files and understand what you are going to do; naturally the best place to ask for help is that thread, where OP and others v410 users could help you better..

But yes, pretty sure you'll need the parted file because it seems that the TEST OS format the /data partition (that is the plce where you'll save your photo, videos, application data etc) with a 4 GB space only..

Yes, uninstall King root no problem there..

oh forgot to say:

Also before doing all that, be sure to download and install LGMobile Support Tool (here a link http://www.softpedia.com/get/Mobile-Phone-Tools/Others/LGMobile-Support-Tool.shtml) and know how to enter bootloader, so that in case of disasters you will be able to restore last official Lollipop build!

Ok, I'll see what I can do. I probably have to do a lot of reading first. Thanks a lot for your help.

Just coming back to say that I followed successfully the procedure of downgrading and rooting here, with the help of user PorygonZRocks and other forum members and then flashed CM 12.1 from twrp, and everything works fine. It was easier than it appeared to me initially, so if other people would like to do something similar, don't be discouraged. Just follow the instructions of the above thread and there will surely be people to help if you get stuck.

Well done, official cm-13.0 can be downloaded at http://get.cm/?device=v410 and cm-14.1 is around the corner.
