I am absolutely new to the forums and I know its meant for technical and skilled developers to discuss roms, root, app mod and other advanced topics but I feel this forum might be the only place where I can get help.
I need to root my Oppo Find X device (CPH1871), international version I guess since I bought it in India. While moving files between my old phone and new one I accidentally lost a lot of important pictures stored in my phone. I have looked into software such as FonePaw and DrFone, both of which require root access to restore those files.
I know there are threads discussing rooting the find x but as someone completely new to rooting I didn't know what method to follow. There are terms such as twrp, unlocking the bootloader, flashing the rom, etc. I dont need a custom rom on my phone, just want the root access so I may be able to recover those photos.
I would be grateful if someone could point me on how to root my phone and how to recover those files. They were really important.
