So my headphone jack is faulty and registers that microphone is connected through headset while the headphones do not have in built microphone. SoundAbout does not work with me. I need some other way. I have root permissions so maybe some tweaking in the UI??
The erratic behavior of the jack sends a shorting signal and simulates the button press that of a wired earphone and launches Google assistant and/or pauses and changes media playback.. It's very annoying.
