Using a Moto G4 Plus XT1644 and when getting on the mfast boost step i keep getting the error "waiting for any device". Anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

ah i got it sorry. now with the device manager, when i select the program from the start menu it just says checking for new software. so i have to run it when im in fastboot?
Ok sorry. followed the tutorial and i had the yellow triangle. updated it and got it like this, https://i.imgur.com/wXBvb7I.png , only thing is now when i run adb reboot bootloader i get error: device not found. im following this tutorial

what mode is the device in?
adb commands only work with device booted normally, or in recovery
fastboot commands are for bootloader/fastboot mode

Oh i was going into bootloader mode. holding the power and volume down on startup.
