I have 1008. I lose 3 button combo everytime I flash to stock. Anyway there is no harm in reapplying it so why not recommend it? I don't want the OP to lose the ability.
Although you are correct that the one-click doesn't kill the button combos on all phones, it does on most batch 1008 phones and maybe all newer phones. It's a good idea to point people to the flasher that you know won't disable the combos, particularly when the person you are trying to help is pretty clueless about how all this stuff works.
My concern is what happens on a phone like mine, a 1006, which apparently NEVER had a problem with the 3 buttons?

My batch is 1007 and I haven't lost mine, *knocks wood*, and I've used Odin a ton to flash back to stock before flashing new ROMS, so far no problems with the Odin3 one click. I will use c3p0LOL's version in the future now that I am used to the standalone version of Odin to flash kernels and modems. :D

Nothing happens. The fix is in the SBL. Many ROMs you use may be writing a new SBL.bin--quite likely the very one that is in the fixed stock package. The difference with the one-click flasher is that it writes one that can break the button combo.
