Hermes 100 and WM6 Roms

Hi after doing research via browsing through the forum entries particularly the Locking and Freezing threads WM6.1 and Google. I am still scratching my head. My friend has a Hermes 100 device TYTN Mk1 (HTC). It had a not for resale test rom on it. I SuperCID and HardSPL'ed it and put schnaps 4.31 on it but it kept freezing and after countless soft resets and hard reset I decided to revert to WM5 HTC Build.

This was stable, I had read in the locking thread about installing an official rom first before trying cooked roms. I did this and then tried schnaps again. Once upgraded the locking problem occured again. I then Put AT&T WM6 on and that did not freeze. So I tried again but this time I tried FARIA & Dr P's WM6.1 but same result locking freezing.

The unit does not have a SD card installed. All flashes were successful. Is there something that Official ROM's have that cooked roms are missing? Also is my friend doomed not to have WM6 on his hermes?

Ive been using a herm100 for the past year now. never had a problem with wm6. i upgraded to 6.1 when i cooked my own and still no problem where others are. one theory to do with 6.1 is the radio rom. Im using 1.50.00.00. Id suggest trying that with a good 6.1 rom and if it doesnt work i reckon it could be something wrong with the phone. Let me know how you get on and good luck.
