HEVC (H265) videos lag

Hi,
I'm trying to play HEVC video files but they always lag.
How can I play them smoothly? Someone has a suggestion for a particular video player or settings? Or simply I can't?
I'm using RR rom (Android 6) and I've tried BS and VLC (standard settings, in BS audio and video can't keep the sync)

Intel atom z2xxx series processors are advertised to have ability to play hevc, but it lags too much even with mxplayer. Best thing to try is compiling MX player codecs with intel optimized compiler. That might help.

Using MX Player with x86 codec I can watch the video but it isn't still lag-free. Anyways it is accetable and I think it is the most I can achieve!
